Beautiful, clean woods layouts with some tough gaps to hit.. Trash cans and ash trays on every hole. I always pick up trash with a reacher grabber, as I walk through, but often couldn't find any to pick up. The few field shots (i.e. not woods) had cool elevation and were a nice mix. One of my favorite courses now!

(Front 9 review) All positives with this short but challenging course. Just the right variety of holes starting with an open downhill shot and ending with an uphill shot. Mild hills in the woods in the middle of the course make for some tight lines. Well designed and maintained, built in staircases for easier navigation in the woods.

This is definitely a fun course, well designed, with lots of opportunities to get below par. First time through it is great to have someone who has played it to help navigate, but it is well worth the drive to Harbor Springs to throw plastic here. If you are looking for a course with lots of length, this is not the one for you. However, it is very technical and gives you ample opportunity to work on many types of throws, chances to run some birds, and a number of legitimate ace opportunities.

The first 9 are definitely good to take someone who is just starting out but I would be hesitant to do the back 9 for these is a little more technical but doable!

Can we just set one thing straight before we talk about this course? Please? A “beginner” course isn’t just a short course. And just because you can play with only a putter, doesn’t make it a “beginner” course.
A beginner course is, for one, short, BUT also wide open. No real obstacles to impede the forward progress of a thrown disc, which could DISCourage a newb from wanting to play ever again.
Many reviews I’ve read from multiple sources have called this a “beginner friendly” course. Well, I disagree. This course certainly is not championship level, but the tightness of the fairways and the elevation are still plenty enough challenge for all levels of play.
The first positive about Kiwanis is that there are two nine-hole loops. Such a cool thing for so many reasons - only enough time for a quick 9 hole round, restock beverages, drop off jackets.
This course starts out with an epic shot down a sledding hill, as does hole number 10. The sort of shot that is missing from Avalanche. From there you begin a journey of weaving your way up and down through the woods. Leave the bread crumbs at home, you won’t need them, but more on that in a moment.
Another positive feature is tee signage on all the holes. Along with an abundance of Next Tee signage, which certainly assisted with navigation. This place just flowed so well. The paths from basket to next tee were very well cut out and in many places lined with limbs/branches. A great deal of TLC has gone into this place.
There was a distinctive difference between the front 9 loop from the back 9 loop in terms of risk/reward. The back 9 has a few “death putts” to take you from birdie to bogey in the blink of an eye.
There are cement teepads on the front 9, but not on the back 9. The back nine had blue orbs like a balf course to mark the tee box.
I only have positive things to say about this course. There are only two negatives I can think of and the course is not to blame. One, it’s too damn far away. And two, they had (shudder) hammockers .
Another review I read listed the short hole (90-something feet) as a con. Why? Sure it’s an ace run. This course is full of lots of ace runs. So do you hate aces? Not me. I love aces. All aces matter, even the short ones.
Of all the 200+ courses I’ve played, this one will certainly be ranked as one of my favorites.

Front 9 holes are rather short and designed for younger or inexperienced players but with many Ace opportunities to keep it interesting.. Back 9 holes are more technical with longer shots while still avoiding trees. I play here multiple times a week with some of my friends, and we never get bored of it. Heavy woods always seems to makes things interested and you can really let lose and get some distance on holes 1 and 10. Definitely one of the better courses in Northern Michigan, nice area and nicely maintained.

It sits behind an elementary school and the front 9 was designed with youngsters in mind. Short holes that require left, right and strait shots. Hole 8 should be listed as a par 2. The back nine was designed to be a little longer and more technical. My biggest disappointment is hole 18... there just seemed to be nowhere else to go. I would rate it higher if we could convince the City to put in some slabs of concrete and help with erosion control.

Great course! Lots of short holes so you can play quick if you are having a good day, but make no mistake this course has a ton of trees and could make these short par 3's pretty long! I loved it. Elevation changes on every hole almost, up and down and up and down! Good hiking make sure to wear shoes with good grip! Tee pads are natural and rough but playable. Holes are marked but sometimes facing the wrong direction. Pretty clean. This is a must play!

What a nice surprise!! I played this course while on vacation this past weekend and had a blast. Yes..it is short, but lots of tight lines. backhands & forehands. I was throwing every putter and mid-range disc that was in my bag. lots of ACE runs. good elevation changes. #1 & #10 are big bombs down the old ski hill. I'll be back! Thank you.

Love the elevation changes that are lacking on most of the States southern tier courses. Recycle bins for cans and bottles, trash receptacles as well. Abundant signage with satellite imagery for easy navigation. Hope to be back soon.

Great course, utilizing all the terrain at the park. My family stopped by on vacation, my son had a couple of ace opportunities and I had blast threading through tight lines. The course is perfect for beginners but interesting enough for a veteran. Lots of hills, 2 down hill bombs, doglegs throughout and quite a few ace opportunities.. Northern disc golf on a smaller scale. Thanks for the design and we will be playing frequently when in the area.
