We played the newer Woodland Trail (18 hole) course. The park also has two separate 9 hole courses which we didn't play. The one I saw looked beginner/kid friendly. The Woodland Trail is awesome! It's a great mix of wooded and open shots and should only get better with time. Tee signs are really cool and it was easy to navigate. It had short and long tee locations on most holes. Hopefully, they will pour tee pads and my rating would only go up. I will definitely be back! 90 out of 100

This course is really fun to play, with trees on both 9s. The two 9s are separated by the lake and can thus be played or seen as two separate courses (how they show up on uDisc). Speaking of uDisc, you will need it for the first few times at Bixler lake since there is no signage, and tees are market only by cinder blocks sunk in the ground.

This course is about 30 minutes away for me and a nice option. I prefer the east side of the lake's 9 holes as there are many mature trees, but still ways to get to the basket from the tee. The Udisc ... show more ›

This course is about 30 minutes away for me and a nice option. I prefer the east side of the lake's 9 holes as there are many mature trees, but still ways to get to the basket from the tee. The Udisc app is a must if you want to know where to go next. Once you play it a couple of times, it's not a problem getting around. The west side of the lake's 9 holes are a bit more challening; especially hole #4 near the library. That's the longest hole and pretty much impossible to get to the tee in 1 shot. You're doing well to do it in 2. Overall, it's a beautiful area but could use some tee pads and actual signs for the holes.

A fun course that is well shaded with some elevation changes. It is a good course for weekend players such as myself but is not on par with the really top courses. The mature trees on the front 9 add some challenge and the placement of low hanging branches and park structures add to the variety. The park is well maintained and the drive between the front and back 9 is not bad. I do agree that the tee boxes are not well marked and hard to find the first few times that you go. It is a great course for beginners since there is very little rough and it would be very hard to lose discs with an errant throw.

It's definitely not the greatest but it was done well for the resources and space available. It is not marked well at all but after 3-4 times of playing it, you know where to go. It is slightly more difficult, in my opinion, from the other review in that a lot of shots off the tee are obstructed by low limbs or tree trunks.

An easy 9 holes based around a small playground/picnic area. Max distance was around 300 ft. Some mildly gradient terrain but mostly clear with a smattering of mature trees providing a myriad of open lanes.

There are no tee boxes; dirt, concrete, or other wise. Tees are not well marked and there are no markings on the baskets either which makes navigating the course troublesome. There are sunk in cinder blocks painted white with red lettering to indicate tee's but they are pretty hard to find. There also isn't a map layout of the course or any signage around the park to indicate where to start.

While a great addition to the area, this is very much a beginners course.
