Lochness Park is unique in that it makes 9 holes feel like 15+. I can't remember off of the top of my head, but most holes you can really air out your driver on and only get halfway to the pin. Perhaps the most redeeming factor of Lochness Park is that it is rarely busy. You can expect to be one of the only people there if you attend. It is also upkept by Infinite Campus, a software company, as the corp's headquarters are 20 feet from the first tee. Also I've played this course ~20 times and never have touched hole 8.

+Good mix of hole length
+Really well upkept
+Fairly well marked

Cons
-Easy to lose discs in Minnesota forest and swamps
-No paving in tee platforms
-Some holes underwater (#8 usually is)

I play this course a lot since it's so close.

Ideal signage, and good flow from one hole to the next. I haven't seen that better anywhere, thanks Infinite Campus!

Maintenance and course design could be way better here. I've joked that I've almost lost discs in the fairway, I've certainly walked right past several, the grass is so long. There's a huge hill the course goes around, but makes no use of. The actual course really has no elevation change.

I don't remember the last time I played 5 or 8, just not fun holes in my opinion.
5 is mostly swamp.
8 especially is an almost guaranteed lose your disc in the drink hole, a water carry with no gap to hit on the way to the pin. Plus, if it's rained recently at all the fairway is usually underwater.

As the name should tell you: Lots of Water (Lochness). I have played this course about 3 times now and every time of the year there have been substantial water hazards. I like the course and will go there again, but make sure to bring your floating disks with! Also this park is police patrolled fairly heavily, very family friendly.
