One of my favorite courses anywhere! I've traveled 11+ hours a few times to play tournaments at Sunnyside DGC. It's a gem for most levels of players. It can be shortened for beginners or stretched out enough to challenge many pros. The only thing I think it lacks is more holes like 6 long, but I do live in an area that has a lot of trees on our courses. Hole 12 is a real beauty, 480 feet drive off of a hill side that has you throwing level over the tops of the trees in the fairway below, a person that drives 300 feet on flat fairways can park this one with all conditions just right. Also, the view is looking toward the basket is awesome. Other holes of note from the long tees to the long baskets: 4, 6, 9, 14, and 16. My personal favorite is hole 10, a 405 foot, lined by large trees, slightly downhill hole with OB about 25 or 30 feet past the basket...which I aced in 2015. If you're on I-80 between Des Moines and Omaha, stop by Atlantic and take advantage of this hidden wonder. You'll be glad you did.
