It's not a walk in the park. But it definitely lets you soak up the feel of Moab while getting in a round. I found the course somewhat difficult. Many of the holes call for a perfect tee shot. Because you're exposed most of the time to the heat, having water and snacks is a must. It certainly pushes you to make good shots. Because of the desert-scape, it is easy to lose track of discs. Our group didn't lose any discs, but I can see having some go missing. If you rely on rollers at all, the landscape doesn't lend to that possibility.

It's a fun course and is unique in it's setting and the landscape. It's a little difficult and exposes you to the heat, but it's a great stop for any disc golfer spending time in Moab.

Went here with four friends in March and had perfect weather. We were pleasantly surprised with this course and had a ton of fun on every hole. Others have mentioned that there are a lot of holes that curve to the right, which is correct... I wouldn't want to be the lefty on this course. There is cactus all over the place so I'd recommend thick soled shoes. Also, be prepared to get pounds of sand in those shoes! The pads are very well maintained with signage that is fairly well maintained on most holes. Arrows placed on the basket poles point to the next tee pad, which is enormously helpful and sometimes the only way to find that pad. There are trees and bushes and rolling hills aplenty! Hole 18 was a fantastic way to end the course.

You'd have to be me to understand. Hopefully some mature people are in charge now. Forever my course, only because of so much hate on me. No good deed goes unpunished people.

Well designed, challenging desert course. Excellent signage and benches on every hole. The baskets are tip top. The terrain is hilly with lots of plant life that creates an abundance of obstacles in the fairways. Sometimes even with a great drive you find yourself putting from behind something. Some great down hill holes throw a little mountain golf flavor in the mix. Some long up hill holes increase the difficulty of this course substantially. There are many blind holes at Old City Park, so knowledge of basket locations is highly beneficial. Honestly, just walking the course through once wouldn't be a bad idea, you basically end up doing that anyway if you want to get a good look at the chains. Professional design, beautiful location, OCP is 18 sweet holes of desert golf, well deserving of an A rating.

Great layout, fun course, and will always find time to throw when down there on vacation. Really enjoyed the layout, moderately challenging, with great views of Moab. Different change from the norm, really close to town and loved the fact I only saw less that 6 people on the days played. Watch out for the cactus and bring lots of water and HIGH quality treats to enjoy :)
