I played this course 20 times before I ever saw what another course looked like. This was my first ever course, my practice grounds still moving forward. Well kept, open, nothing too major. They tend to switch up basket spots quite often which mostly remains a good thing. Front 9 particularly is somewhat crowded, back 9 gets better. ~500ft is furthest basket.

A challenging course meandering through an oasis of oaks nestled into a small park next to the Rock river in Janesville. Well thought out course design utilizes the best attributes of the terrain to provide a variety of hole layouts that allow for a wide variety of shot making. Amply sized cement tee pads provide great launching surfaces with good signage that makes for relatively easy navigation through the course.

If you prefer playing where you don't have to search through tall grass for shots that veer off course, then this course is for you as, outside of a few holes tucked into the surrounding bushes, the whole course is mowed grass. Playing in the fall may present some problems with locating your disc as it's likely the leaf litter is pretty dense, but perhaps the park department does regular leaf clean-up.

Large mature trees over rolling hills. Some holes are very cramped, so your line is about 5 feet from another tee pad. Excellent tees and adequate signage. A large river is near the course, but does not really come into play. The park is very well groomed with many amenities. The holes really aren't that creative or different from one another; your only obstacle is missing the trunks of all the trees.

Honestly this is one of my favorite courses I've ever played. It is so fun throwing through a bunch of big oaks. The course allows for a ton of different lines to hit, but it takes control to hit the lines. It has distance and finesse shots for the player to throw and what more could you ask of a course.

If you live in or around Janesville, this is the best course within reasonable driving distance. It has 18 holes which require a variety of shots, but there are very few risk/reward type shots, and o ... show more ›

If you live in or around Janesville, this is the best course within reasonable driving distance. It has 18 holes which require a variety of shots, but there are very few risk/reward type shots, and only a handful of holes really punish you for having a bad drive. My PDGA rating is below 900 and i regularly shoot par or under here.

The course makes good use of elevation, and the surrounding trees are used as best as they probaly could be.

This course has not had a local club to do improvements for quite some time, but one is starting this next season and we have high hopes for new pin locations, baskets, and general course improvement.
