This course has a new layout for 2023, and it is a major improvement. It utilizes the park's wooded space more and not just the sledding and skiing hills. Play has become more difficult, you have to shape shots. As of Jun2023 tee pads are still loose gravel so those definitely need work. Overall, much improved course over previous layout.

A great course for beginners and seasoned players alike. Elevation changes are a real challenge, but overall distance is not that far. Still a challenging course with many hills and wind. Tee boxes are gravel and dirt, so an improvement can be made there. Signage is average but not a hard course to navigate. This has been my go-to course for the past 15 years. Certainly far from world-class, but good enough to keep you coming back.

much improved to original layout (from a C to a B+). Creative use of area to adjust baskets to be out of way of sledding route during the winter. Multiple disciplines needed to navigate this course. Only criticism is that 6 of the front nine baskets are situated on steep hillsides and the catchers are not that grippy and put for birdie can easily spit out and roll 30' and easily become a bogey... oh, and yeah pads are rutted cinders garbage, once the spring rain comes they will be mud holes, just like the previous pads.

EXCELLENT COURSE!!!! The holes vary in distance anywhere between 200 ft and 400 ft, with massive hills that add an extra variable to the course. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, you are bound to have fun on this course due to the nature of the holes and the overall location. As stated in previous reviews all goes well until you reach hole 18. Here, you must throw across a hill with a possible 300 ft walk to get your disc if it rolls down the hill. It ultimately make or breaks your scorecard

Pros: Above average variety of holes. Elevation freaks will definitely get their fix at this course. Number 18 is fun as a potential game-breaker during competitions (large hill which any drive has a fair likelihood of rolling down). Good course for practicing elevation changes and windy shots. Large parking lot and compelling ski hill location. Mostly open holes are forgiving for beginners. Most holes have signs with distance measurements. Two sets of tees.
Cons: Constant uphill, downhill hiking will become tiring. Lack of shade means you're in the sun for the majority of the round. Dirt/sand tee boxes are poorly defined and offer very poor footing. Course attracts more than its share of careless golfers and vandals compared to other courses in a 30-mile radius. Rough is thick and can eat discs if you don't watch shots carefully.
Other Thoughts: Permanent tee pads and a few more mature trees would put this course on-par with some of Appleton's offerings. Watch for discs flying in from parallel fairways!
