Just played here in a tournament for my first time.And we played the long red layout. This course is definitely demanding, you don't need to be a big thrower to play It.You just gotta be able to hit your lines. Getting off the fairway is definitely rough and sometimes painful, with the amount of thorny bushes and trees. Is of course , is definitely worth playing if you're an area.

The course was fully opened in August 2020 with the 18th basket being set in hole 10. There however remains a significant amount of work to fully complete the course, on top of the maintenance activities that come with having an 18 hole course open for play.

The layout is solid for amateurs to strong players. Accuracy is much more a premium than length. Holes 7-13, playing the long baskets, is as tough a stretch as just about anything around. It can be difficult to find discs in the rough in Summer and there are too many prickers (rosa multiflora) that hopefully the local club will focus on removing or at least thinning significantly. The combination of privet, a "thorny" shrub, and the prickers makes the rough quite brutal. Weekends can be very busy - lots of family play. When it rains, the course can get muddy, although significant improvements were made to paths this past winter (2021) with stone laid underneath wood chips. All tee pads are level and reasonable in length. The brick however can get slippers when wet.

There are 2 baskets per hole (silvers are short and red are long.) There are a couple of ace runs and some holes that seem to go on forever. It really is a great mix in a compact square area. The designer, Sean, did a magnificent job. Sadly, some of the final basket placements don't make sense (within 3' of a wall of rough butted up to a path is set without any thought or understanding of design and playability,) but it does not detract from the overall experience.

Is this a destination course? I am biased and would say absolutely. Give it a try and see for yourself!

Great, challenging course when you play the long pins and a moderate to easy difficulty course in the short pins. Good variety of shot selection and a lot of elevation but not so much you run out of breath. The main downside is that the rough here is pretty bad, you'll get your disc back but chances are you're pitching out or throwing an overhand shot through 7 or 8 foot high bushes. Definitely worth traveling for and playing now that there are 18 baskets.

It is now a full 18 hole course with the final holes completed this last summer. Tee pads on all holes are large and level. Challenging course that rewards players who can keep it in the fairway. Good mix of elevation makes for a fun interesting layout. Two baskets on every hole so both beginning and pro level players can enjoy the course. Beautiful well made tee signs and next tee signs help players navigate the course.

Some tees may be slippery when wet. Club is working to address the problem and will continue to improve the course.

Fort Washington DGC is located in beautiful Fort Washington State Park and was originally a boy scout project using object poles. After years of neglect, it has since been transformed into a top notch, 18 hole course with 2 or 3 (basket) pin placements per hole. Every hole has a RED (short) and SILVER (long) basket, giving you a choice on how to play the course. The course is challenging but fair, with most of the course traversing the woods with plenty of trees to navigate. All holes have a clear cut, fairly wide fairway, where good throws are rewarded and bad throws are penalized. Throughout the woods, the rough consists of thick sticker bushes adding difficulty to the scramble, forcing players to use a variety of shots to get up and down.
Tee pads are brick, and there are Tee signs on every hole indicating distances with a clear picture of the hole. The course is easy to navigate, with clear cut paths and "next tee" signs between holes leaving little confusion as to where the next tee box is located.
There are EIGHT Par 4's and ONE par 5 in the RED (B or C) positions, with the rest of the holes and pins being par 3.
Overall this in an excellent course that is beautifully maintained and challenging and fun to play. With the multiple pin placements per hole, you can easily play the course countless times without playing the same layout twice. It is a must play for anyone visiting or passing through the southeast PA / Fort Washington area.
Pros: Beautiful scenery. Highly maintained. Clear fairways provide a clear line on every hole. Good shots rewarded. Bad shots penalized.
Cons: Tee boxes can be slippery when wet. Gets muddy after heavy rains.

Great course that should only be getting better in the years to come. Brick tee pads with 2 baskets per hole (silver being the longer for most holes). The local group there has done a great job updating the course over the last year or so and there are plans to add more. They just recently lengthened hole 8 and gave hole 4 a par 4 option. The course has a good variety of hole length/difficulty and is very well marked.

A fantastic 9 hole course that has grown leaps and bounds in the past year. Newly installed baskets. Six holes with alternate pin positions. New tee pads being installed next month. It's a challenging 9 hole course with some tight finesse shots and a big open shot on six for longer arms. Great for both novice and experienced players.
