Long paved tee areas. Huge holes. Elevated tee pads on almost all holes. Severe elevation changes on holes 5,8,10,14,16. OB greens definitely makes approaches pretty tough on a lot of the holes. Creek and pond hazards make the course more interesting. Most shots are very long and flat. The biggest challenges to Edgebrook are distance and wind. I enjoyed the course design and thought it was great to tee from the same areas as the ball golfers and on most holes have to hole out 50-200 feet past the ball golf green! Ball golfers were all very kind and interested in disc golf. Edgebrook staff running the pro shop were all very kind and helpful. If you are in the Chicagoland area and want to play a really long, open, flat course (for the most part) with a golf cart then this is the place for you.
