Just keeeep walking until u think all hope is lost, once you see the tee sign after that walk you will think an angel came down to bless you. the rough will kick your d or p in the dirt and if you want some hogweed and loss of vision that's also definitely out there for you to endure. and not one review I read said anything about the most important thing of all the bugs, I repeat the bugs, once again the bugs are the worst and will suck the living s*** out of you.so go peep this illness

Updated my review again. Bumped it up a notch. Course is getting some love. The layout is fun, fairly easy to navigate, and it's a beautiful location. Courses built on ski hills are usually boring and a lot of straight up and down, but this course keeps it interesting. Rough is still super thick, but at least the fairways are getting taken care of. No idea where the tee is on 4, and many signs are busted and inaccurate. This course has a lot of potential, and is fun to play if you know it.

POISON IVY! Since no one has stated it before, I'll repeat. POISON IVY. There is a sign warning you of this at the beginning and another after the basket on Hole 15. With that said, amazing view from 15 and some great elevation changes and an overall fun course. I thought the signage was very good (except for the few signs that had unfortunately been vandalized.)

I love this course. I first played it in 2006 or 7 it was only 18 holes. I like it better now, they changed a couple holes. The tee pads do need a little work, like filling in the holes. The holes are not that long for the most part, but the elevation and pin placement make up for it. I'd definitely like to play here more often.

This course features some of the best signage directing players between holes that I've ever seen. It is well-maintained and the holes are very well laid out. Accuracy is rewarded and mistakes are punished - severely! My primary dislike was some of the tee pads. I don't need concrete pads but a few are angled so heavily they seriously inhibit drives. Something close to level would work in all cases. This is a very good course on the verge of greatness.

Seems like they missed the boat on taking advantage of the terrain. Very playable with neat signs, easy to navigate and nice to play if you are around, but I wouldn't plan a trip just to play.

This is a hidden gem in "Da U.P." Absolutely love this course, a tru testament of Northern Michigan Disc Golf. Very rarely is it crowded. Good mix of tight shots & bombers, only con I can give this place is play it early in the year, Ticks & Poison Ivy are common here. Oh maybe cement tee pads if your spoiled like that, me I like the Northern Michigan feel of natural tee pads. Now get out and throw!!

This is now one of my all time favorite courses.. I have played lots of courses all throughout michigan and this one is definetly a world class course. If cement pads were added and some cleanup this course could be one of akind. A sweet rock quary and some awesome views of lake michigan..tons of wildlife and amazing views.. the downfalls are that if you go to this course later in the summer the grass will be long and it will be overgrown I'm sure.. I was lucky and played this course at the perfect time..I highly recomend this course to everyone.

Pros: This is probably the hardest course I have played. I have since played Leviathon and this course challenges Leviathon on how hard it is even though it is much much shorter. Almost every shot is through a very skinny line flat or uphill with hard hyzer or anhyzers at the end of the shot and a couple downhill bombers. The holes are not extremely long but are very technical. If you miss your line you will end up in some thick ruff where you will have to throw out. The ruff isnt so bad that I think you would lose a disc but you will have a hard time trying to play out from it.

There are signs everywhere and the design is in such a way that you play loops that bring you back to where you were 3 or 4 holes ago. So you wont get lost on this course but because of the difficulty the course will take a few hours.

Cons: Its not closer to me.

Other Thoughts: If you are near this course and could master it you would probably instantly be pro at discgolf. It is that hard and hitting those lines everytime for a under par score would mean that you are fantastic at this sport.

I thought deerfield was hard (and it is) but this course makes deerfield look easy.

Also there is tons of hiking on this course, be ready to get tired after a round here!

PROS: Course is mapped out very well, score cards are provided at the beginning. Very clean fairways and baskets are in great shape. Holes 7 and 8 call for a pretty much straight vertical drive and a hard climb to the top of a toboggan hill. This leads to hole number 9 which is one of the coolest holes ive ever played. a 600' bomb off of the very top of the hill to a clearing on the bottom. I walked back up the hill just to throw it again. Course called for many different types of shots which i love. Very secluded, there was a sign in sheet that showed about 2-3 visitors per day. I was the only one there for my entire round. Also being on a large hill this course provides some pretty amazing views throughout the round.

CONS: No Concrete pads/uneven ground to tee off of. Fairways are very tight and if you stray off the path it is very thick, can easily swallow a disc.

Overall i had a blast at this course and i would defiantly play it again.
