A truly unique, temporary layout set on the largest sand dunes on the East Coast, combining exposed dune shots, constant wind, and surprisingly good wooded holes. Nothing else plays like this.
Wind and sand dictate everything. Great shots can turn disastrous instantly, discs can skip wildly on packed sand or bury themselves completely, and putting becomes a real risk on slopes.
The stretch of holes #9–13 is elite. #11 is a grueling uphill par 5 straight up a dune, #12 is a stunning but terrifying exposed putter shot from the dune top, and #13 offers aggressive birdie potential right along the sound.
Constant elevation changes, side-hill lies, and exposed slopes make footing, disc control, and decision-making just as important as shot shape.
Plenty of birdie chances, but also blow-up potential. The course record was already nine under within days, yet high scores are always in play due to wind and terrain.
While it doesn’t fully utilize the biggest dunes for a true bomber hole, the rarity, setting, and fun factor make this a must-play experience if you get the chance.
