This course is a well-maintained gem. Great mix of open holes, wooded holes, left and right doglegs, and great elevation changes over rolling hills. Two big, concrete teepads per hole and one basket that has varying locations. Well made signs give distances and pin locations (only drawback is signs are only on short teepads). It's definitely worth paying a few dollars to play what is one of the top three courses in Virginia.

I give this course an f- for pure principle! Great course but the road was shut down to get to the course and I had to hike a mile just to get to course. Find out when I get to course I have to pay to play? I don't carry cash or any important documents that could be lost or stolen while playing. Awesome course would recommend it to any player. As long as the road was open. It's was just too much wasted time having to walk in walk to office to pay, to find out it was closed, and then walk back out, that's an hour wasted I could have put into the course.

Con's - though there is beautiful terrain (huge trees, deep ravines and trenches, etc) the course makes poor use of it in my opinion. I think it is poorly designed in my unprofessional opinion. It is definitely a gem for pro players that can reach out 400' with a 10 degree throwing window off of the tee pad, and fairways that are very straight without much bend or dogleg at all. For those that cannot throw that kind of shot you will probably be very frustrated. I may like it more if i played it a couple of times more and found some better throwing lanes, but i felt like I had to take an extra stroke on just about every hole just to get back to the fairway after drilling a tree immediately off the tee pad. I felt like there were a plethora of gigantic trees (5' diameter) that were not used on the course. the same can be said with awesome terrain undulation. The only variation that I felt was incorporated, was a handful of holes that were in the open grassland (Holes 1,2,3,17,18 and 12 maybe???). No water features to keep things interesting.

Though I feel I am a decent amateur player, I felt very abused by this course.

Great course! It got tough on a few holes trying to figure out where the next tee pad was, although I did only play one time. Beautiful course, really nice hole signs, and the flags on each basket was really nice and very helpful for basket location. There is a fee of $3 to play all day, which they also have a map of the course and discs supplies for sale at the office.
