Cons: Heavy use. Big groups.
I would rate this course higher, because it's fun with ample challenge for different skill levels. However, the course is frequently backed up with large groups (6+) meandering along, groups of newbies, course regulars playing doubles, etc. Every time I play there, unless it's bright and early, I end up waiting or sometimes restarting from a random, open hole where there appears to be fewer groups ahead. Anticipate crowds on the weekends.

This is my home course and the standard that I judge all else by. There are many things to like about this course. The ground is mostly mulch and lends itself to big skips. The course is kept very clean for the amount of play. They just put in new benches at every tee box. This is a good course for beginners and is a place you can bring your family. STROLLER friendly, I play most of my disc golf with my little boy and this course is great. Lots of shade to get away from the heat. You will have a tough time losing a disc here, the course is wooded but has very little brush. Now for the cons No open holes that you can really let it rip without fear of hitting a tree. I really enjoy playing this course. the tee boxes are all concrete and marked decently. there are two tee boxes and two baskets for every hole so this gives you 8 different layouts to choose from. Overall this course is a B+ and it is as good as it can get for the location and lack of land for expansion and better hole variety. New signs!

My only complaint is that the locals are a little pushy and bossy towards other players. I played this course a couple dozen times during the summer of 2013 and consistently had people driving down on me or not letting me play through. Very busy park but it is an excellent course to play.

A good course that isn't too hard or too easy. A good course for beginners and those working on their game. There are lots of tall trees overhead but hardly any undergrowth so losing a disc is not likely except in the winter when discs slide under the fallen leaves. The holes are a bit close together and the course can get a little crowded sometimes but there really isn't much to complain about here. The hole distances are mostly medium to short. The location is good, being fairly close to a lot of other attractions around Virginia Beach. As of August 2014 the course is still currently under renovation, and the layouts have changed. The new layout is marked by trash cans with numbers painted on them next to what appears to be the medium tees. The new layout uses a little more of the park and opens up some more space between holes.

Fun course! Only played one time while visiting, but very nice clean course. Two different tee pads to throw from on each hole, with cement tee pads. Course is somewhat tight between lanes, can easily throw onto some other fairway. Good tee signs, although finding the basket for your tee pad could take some looking around. Would definitely play again when in the area. Picture of entire course is at hole one. I took pictures from where I threw from, however there are two pads for each hole.

Overall a great course. Between here and Mundon Point, this was our favorite while visiting. (Disclaimer-It was the week after Irene so Mundon was still flooded and windy as hell)
