Well designed course. Earlier reviews complained about problems following the layout from hole to hole. This has been alleviated by red and white wooden arrows posted to indicate the direction of the next tee or by using U disc mapping. Moderate elevation changes and a mix of wooded and open holes. Most holes have 2 sets of tees and at least two baskets or basket positions. Tees are in very good shape. Tees are astro turf type over compacted sand and gravel set in a frame. No par 4s on the short to short layout but several par 4s on the long-long layout. One forced water carry over a small pond on hole 10.

Beautiful well manicured park on rolling hills. This course test both the technical shots required but as well bombing drives on the open holes. Design is fair but could have been more creative on the open holes. Overall, I had fun playing this course Red tees to red baskets. Only hole 3 was difficult to find but the course navigates well through the forest with fair lines.

Style of Course - Mixed (1/3 open, 2/3 wooded: The style of this course is pretty good, in my opinion. It starts and ends with open holes. This setup feels nice to play; an easier start and finish to the round. Holes 1-5 (excluding hole 3) are open. Holes 6-16 are heavily wooded. Then Holes 17 & 18 are open again.

Course Layout - Rating A- : The course has a great flow from hole to hole; there are no weird paths to walk or super long distances from basket to next tee. The course does create a nice 18 hole loop. All of the wooded holes definitely are protected from each other. The only negatives in this section are the open holes could cross paths if you have a very, very poor drive (not that big of a downside, most drives are fine) and that in an ideal world the course would have two 9 hole loops but it is not a deal breaker.

Safety - Rating A- : The course normally keeps to itself as far as running into other park goers. The open holes leave themselves to have people walking in the open fields.

Tees - Rating C : Every hole has a tee box in place. They are mostly wooden frames that are carpeted. This creates an ok tee pad. I personally do not like the idea of a carpet tee pad; I would love for it to be concrete, or a rubber mat. Also, a few of the tee pads are very muddy and made worse because they are carpet and are soaking in moisture.

Baskets - Rating C- :Old Innova Discatcher; the Discatcher is a great basket. It catches well and looks good on the course. A few holes have newer baskets (or maybe just new chains even) and those chains are shaped a bit differently and I definitely like how the newer Discatcher catches. The biggest problem is that these old baskets have completely rusted chains; so much so that they discolor my putters. I know that I have white putters but still these are just too old and should really get an upgrade.

Hole Design - Rating B+ : The holes on this course are pretty good. The wooded shots are great. In my opinion Hole 11, B-pin is too tight once you get two thirds of the way there. In the A-pin, it is a hole that you want to get a 2 on. The B-pin turns it into "just get a 3" unless hit the perfect shot or get lucky to get a 2.

Course map? Hole 1 is easy to find but it's a little confusing after that. There's alternate pin placements and pads, yet some pins aren't in and some pads are offset and can be hard to know which one you're on. There were some old signs in some areas pointing you towards the next holes but they were broken an tossed to the side, in the brush.

The tee pads are merely landscaping timbers wrapped around a sand pit with outdoor carpet over the top. Had no problems slipping though.

Great variety of anhyzers and hyzers, tunnel shots and wide open bombs, and elevation changes. Good little course and can't wait to play it again now since I now the layout better. Rated as such due to lack of maintenance and lack of mowing.

Loriella is turning out to be my home course. Most holes are through the woods but the first 2 & last 2 are open. Uphill & downhill shots. Hyzers & anhyzers off the tee. Plenty of birdie opportunities for guys like me that don't throw 350'. But be accurate in the woods. Some of the wooded holes par can be saved off the path but most will punish you for missing the drive off the tee. Early morning rounds you will find yourself all alone on the course.
