This is a great city park course. That said, it is a little short for players looking for a challenge. It has two baskets for each hole. An older cage basket and a newer Prodigy basket, that is a little longer. Great course for a fun round or family play. A little short for those looking for a challenge but it is a great course to keep you sharp and keep you throwing. Every day does not have to be tournament day.

The only complaint for this course is that it is easy. Yes you can score -10 or ever a bit more. It is still a challenging course and well designed for enjoyment. For the most part there are well defined fairways that make it a less frustrating game. If you are looking for a fun course within a fairly nice setting Peaks View is it.

Peaksview's Disc Golf Course is in a large city park in Lynchburg. It is a very good beginners course. It is rather short, the longest hole is 280 ft. The first six holes are fairly open but make use of trees to make the shots interesting. The next ten holes are in the wooded portion of the park and are all fairly short, not many shots farther than 200 feet. Good use of elevation and trees to make the shots more difficult. The last two holes come back out into the open, 17 is probably the most difficult hole on the course, a 250 ft shot uphill where the basket is tucked in behind several cedar trees, 18 is a slight left curved shot with a big hill behind it. Concrete tee pads and in general the course is kept in nice shape. The open fairways are mowed regularly but you will have to watch out for other park participants, several of the open holes play very near park walking paths. Pros will typically shoot in the low 40's and Ams will shoot mid 40's to low 50's, most holes easily deucable. A good beginners course, no doubts
