Good course that is maintained fairly well. The only complaint about maintenance, well mostly about some of the players that play here, is that some leave their trash and empty water bottles around the course. If you play here, please pick up after yourselves. The course is decent, but with virtually no elevation gains or losses, and fairly predictable wooded shots. I don't think it's very first-timer friendly in terms of navigation around the course, as it is somewhat easy to lose track of where the next tee is, and combined with the fact that all the baskets are around each other, it might take a few extra minutes to get your bearings. Altogether, this is a decent course. If you have a DISCatcher portable, you can actually set up your own disc golf course holes in the nearby areas. This park is great as there's a little of everything that you can set up your own course with, and I don't really know why the creators of this one decided to confine the course to such a compacted area. Overall, I'd give this course a B-.

Much nicer course than these reviews indicate. Moderate trees and mud. All holes had new baskets. Choice of three tees for each hole and markings for 2 basket locations which are presumably rotated. No cost on weekdays; looked like $2 on weekends. Holes somewhat short but not too much. If you are used to an open course, then this course is indeed heavy on trunks, but it is not much worse than Golden Gate park's course in SF and much less trees than a course I played on in San Antonio (NW CC).
Better DIRECTIONS: Turn south off of US 29 onto Bull Run Road all the way to end near swimming pool.

Short, Trees, Easy, Short, and Fun.
This course is very very short. Beyond too short. I would normally hate this, but the chances of an ace is so high it adds to the excitement (and ode to the grange's "tiki golf"). It has a bunch of trees, but aside from intimidating you from the parking lot, they never come into play. Speaking of parking lot, that's what i like to refer to the course as, due to all the drives that you will be parking next to the chains. For what it is, a great course for beginners and families, its great. It is well kept and clean as well, but If you were to compare it to the average D.G. course, it is sub par. If there were ever a par 2 course, this is it. Having said all of that, I'll be going twice a week to practice my putting and midrange accuracy.
