I have played this course 4 times now and feel comfortable with giving this a rating.
I am a novice player and consider this as a factor in rating this course. While it is an over all great layout, the first hole comes off as a bit cheesy and a one trick pony shot to par here. If you don't have a great side arm shot to go out and around the big tree branch right in front of you, good luck. All other holes seem to fit in fine with the over all design. Tall grass on the right of 4 and a few others, will be a solid reminder to not over throw it off the pad. The lack of quality hole signage tells me that after 6+ years in the making, builders couldn't do the community a solid with Tee pad signs that show the layout in graphic detail like others have done (see N. Bonneville) in the area. Another touch that would push this into an A tier course (IMO) is the inclusion of a practice basket. No one wants to go into a round cold without a warmup area (such as the big grassy patch next to the playground) to get their putts in line, or stretch with a flight towel.
Over all, this course is a fun one to play and has great potential. It is definitely worth the trip to the east side to play, and a great 18 hole addition to Vancouver disc golf!
