I like this course a lot. It is scenic, challenging, and fun. You aren't going to find too many layouts with this much contrast: there are technical wooded holes and wide-open holes, very long and short holes, dead flat and very hilly holes. Basically, it has something for everyone. The tee pads are long and very nice.
Concerns: Navigation could be improved, as some of the holes have signage, and some don't. They have added practice baskets, one of which can easily be mistaken for the #11 basket. There is a fair amount of distance between some baskets and the next tees, and some back-tracking as well (#3 in particular, where you totally retrace your steps to get to the next tee).
I really don't care for hole #12, where the fairway is a 30-50' wide, tree-laden strip of ground between a road (OB) and a dangerously steep drop-off (where people apparently like to throw garbage). And some of the longer basket positions are fairly ridiculous, especially on #17. But this has become my second favorite course in Kansas City (after Water Works). Don't be freaked out by the people driving slowly around the park with their hazard lights on: they are just practicing for the driver's license test.
