Beautiful day to shoot a round. Not much wind and perfect temp made this ideal with the time it takes and the hiking that is involved. This course is by far the best course I personally have ever played. I want to travel and hit up the Midwest courses more if I had more $, and was so glad to hear they had put this course in years ago. I was moving back from having so many courses within a 20 to 30 minute drive so it is nice to have this course 5 minutes from my home. It has become my second home and my new stomping ground. Difficulty for me is above average, a 7.5/8 on a scale of 10. The trees add some difficulty on holes and can be a bit too crowded on some holes as well(hole #15). But I wanted a challenge and that's what I get each time I go to shoot. I do like the variation of elevations and lengths of the holes as well. I was so used to playing courses that all had holes that averaged about the same length each hole and open shots. These are great for ace runs, which are fun sometimes, but it got repetitive and boring always shooting the same courses with no alternate pin placements and less than average(1.5 to 2.5 depending on the course) difficulty. Definitely recommend making a stop to shoot here if you are traveling through the area. If the weather is nice, you have the time and want a somewhat challenging course with beautiful scenery to shoot then you will most likely enjoy it as much as I do.
