An overlooked gem, located on the western bank of the Bitterroot River and getting frequent upgrades. Tee boxes used to be mostly sand, but are getting replaced with concrete pads. A mix of long and short fairways, with one offering a double-barrel shotgun approach with right or left tunnels through woods giving you a choice of going forehand or backhand, #7 on the actual riverbank and a couple very long doglegs midcourse, but after negotiating the tougher ones you're usually rewarded with a short birdie-able basket. #18 is a long very sharp lefthand dogleg through a keyhole between dense alders and cottonwoods with water to either side. Great views of the river and nearby mountains, very scenic and not much patronized, often you have the whole course to yourself.
