Yeah, those were my 5th and 6th rounds ever played, so I am very new at this, wish I had started playing 10 years ago when I ran into a guy playing disc golf in the snow at Buffum Dam while I was geocaching with my brother.

By the way, what exactly is guerilla golf?? I have a portable basket arriving in the mail tomorrow for practicing my putts in my back yard but am also going to toss it in the trunk and setup a hole in the woods at work for a little lunch time practice with a buddy of mine. I thought maybe you had portable baskets and you just went and set them up in a park somewhere, but maybe it is more basic than that since it mentioned not hearing the chains...

Oh, and I'm going to make a logo and a t-shirt for Disc Zombies of Rhode Island, I get a kick out of that name and the Chaaaiiins...CHAAAIIINS!!!! tag line :) Will have to dig out my zombie costume this weekend!

Ha! Love the tagline! Yes, Rhode Island needs more courses for sure! I think the N. Smithfield course got eaten up by the new school? I haven't checked but that was what I was told. I'm actually contemplating paying $10 to play at Normandy Farms Campground since it is just up the road in Foxboro MA...but if it turns out to be a nice course I may talk to management about some other kind of pricing, a year pass or something.

Played a couple of rounds at Normandy Farms today. (+10 and +7)
Pros:
Close to my home
For what it is the course is nice
Saw one other group on my second round, but otherwise had the course to myself
Cons
Course is pretty short, average 200ft per hole. But nice practice for a newbie like me
A couple people do bike along paths/roads which make up quite a few of the fairways, though was not at all disruptive
Tee boxes are gravel and a bit uneven

At one point I tossed one behind a boulder which sits right next to the basket, when I came to get it a little three year old kid had it and was walking away to give it to his mother. I stopped him and had him toss it at the basket. Notch up one more convert!

All in all the course is good for a brand new player to get some practice in, otherwise drive the extra 20 minutes to Borderland,
