Andrease Herrera is looking to run more tournaments this up coming disc golf season. I have a couple of tournament id like to see come back. Memerial Day Doubles again. FireMunster @ Red Oak. Halloween Open @ Alimagnet DGC. The 4th of July Tournament, which was a floating course tournament. meaning i never made a "home" course for it. in years past we had it "ali and "the oak". there was others i tried starting but never went back and did the follow up annual tournament because the 1st tournament didnt show promise of a quality turn out. kinda like Brockway DGC. Us southern metro throwerz like Brockway, but no one else really. so we only had about 25 ppl show up vs. the 40 - 50 players at the other tournaments listed beforehand. Now these short course tournaments will always step on other tournaments at full 18 hole course. we should go ahead and throw em anyway. try to dodge as many as possible but, get a series of tournaments going on these small gem courses.

Lyle Marsh and I discovered a little gem of a course waaaaaayyyyyyy out in Springfield Minnesota. It's south of Morton, Mn or Jackpot Junction Casino is located in Morton. so it's out there a ways. Bloomington to Springfield,Mn. 2 hours and 3 minutes, totaling of 114 miles. Bloomington to Morton ( Casino ) 1 hour 45 minutes and a total of 102 miles. Camping at Rothenburg Campground. Reservations=[507]723-3517. Rothenburn is across the street from Riverside Park Complex which includes pool, waterslide, plunge pool, kiddie pool, horseshoe courts, sand volleyball court, new playground equipment, canoe landing, picnic shelters. Rothenburg and Riverside park are both 2 blocks from downtown Springfield. Casino/Morton is 30 minutes south or 23.8 miles away from Morton, Mn. Big Cottonwood River seperates the campground and the disc golf course. the course is called Links of Springfield. play a weekend tournament there totaling of 3 rounds.
