We have all played by the rules. This message is to remind everyone that the tags are for fun and not to cause animosity towards one another. From now on players are to follow park rules where ever you are playing. The rounds should be played following PDGA rules(no playing from water). Rules are monitored by the group. If you have to leave in the middle of a round you will take max strokes on unplayed holes and surrender your tag and leave with the highest in the group. NO EXCEPTIONS! If you cannot play by the rules I can refund your cash and you can give me your tag back. As far as I am concerned every match should be a bag tag match. Your bag tag should be on your bag at all times. If you do not have your tag on you you cannot play for tags. Anyone can play anyone, anytime, anywhere. There shouldnt be any denied matches because there should not be any challenges. Every match should be a bag tag match. questions send me some mail. Anthony

I am 100% confident in this decision and hope that everyone in the club gives them their full support. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of Mud Turtle Disc Golf. This club was started with the sole mission to unite the scattered disc golf community and bring everyone together into one club. This is what I thought I accomplished, but what I have really seen is this club breaking up friendships over petty disagreements and animosity. This was supposed to be for fun, friendly competition between friends. It has turned into a monster I cannot contain. I appreciate everyones efforts, the people that bought and played for tags and the people that showed up to the tournaments and leagues. You all helped make a difference in this disc golf community and I hope that you made some friends along the way. I wish everyone the best in their ventures, disc golf or not, and I hope that you all live blessed lives. Take care and most of all, one last cheers.

Mud Turtle has new tags and they are available immediately for members, new and old. You do not need your old tag to receive your new one, we know what number you have. The new tags are stamped aluminum, no more gel straps and no more flimsy lamination. We signed up 9 new members yesterday and have another 21 tags to distribute until we hit 100. This is a message addressing all Mud Turtles. I love this club and I appreciate everyones efforts in helping it grow. But, what I really want to talk about is Stumptown memberships. I cannot express how important I think it is to be a supporting member of Stumptown Disc Golf. The logo is on the cups we drink from, the bumpers of our car, and stamped on at least one disc in every one of our bags, but it is what the club does that is so important... promoting disc golf as a legitimate sport and hobby, and establishing new places to play. Stumptown cannot do any of this without our support, so think about your community and what this club has done to improve it and be a supporting member. Note that I am speaking solely on my behalf and not for Stumptown Disc Golf.

We extended the teepad on six out another 2 feet giving us a ten foot tee pad. Thanks to Josh Motzkus for coming out to help and Saui for his physical help and huge cash donation. Tee pads cost about $50 each to make and we are wanting to put in another 2-3 soon. Any cash donations will be willfully accepted and will go directly towards the cost of new pads. Thanks to all the guys that came out to help with the teepads, roy, saui, jared, dax and steve ellsworth. We put in teepads for holes 1 and 6 and they turned out awesome. Holes 2, 7, and 8 are next and I will be putting together a work party to complete these pads. All the brush and limbs have been cut back and have opened up some nice approaches, not accessible before yesterday. Any contributions, whether cash or personal time, would be greatly appreciated to complete the course.

Mud Turtle Disc Golf is now up and running. I will have the logo posted on the page today and will be making our bag tags this afternoon. I need emails from all the guys that were invited and want in, you know who you are. There is an annual $5.00 fee to join and all money collected will go towards development. This fee will keep you current through January of 2011. I will be organizing a day tourney to celebrate the opening of "The Clubhouse" and the founding of "Mud Turtle Disc Golf" to happen very soon so get on it. Take care and most of all, cheers!
