We are a new club and we are trying to raise funds for Riverside Park Disc Golf Course. We need new members!! We need you!!!

$15 Annual Member Fee - Get's you a club bag tag and towel. All proceeds will go into the course installment!!

It's a win/win situation!! Get club bag tag to challenge each other and a cool club towel. Both items combined is a retail price of $15. Were getting them combo tag/towel for $5 each shipped. So $10 per member will go into the Riverside Course Fund!! Contact myself or Phil Snuggs.

I will post updates more often as I get them. But we will be holding a open meeting at the Riverside Pavilion sometime this Spring/Summer to talk about the club/course the growth of the sport!! As soon as I have pictures of the bag tags/towels I will post them.

Here is the update on the Villa & Riverside Park Courses: In the next 30 days the Villa Park Course will be removed and a temporary 9 hole course will be install at Riverside Park. The temporary course will used until enough money has been raised for a permanent course.

Recently we had Duster Don Hoffman a renowned disc golf course designer/installer come out and review our layout and help us tweak each hole if they needed to be. He has design hundreds of countless courses throughout the United States. Some of the Best Wisconsin courses in the state which include Vallarta-Ast Park (aka Token Creek), Heistand, Elver, Justin Trails. He has designs hundreds of courses.

Our plans are to install a temporary 9 holes marking off short and long tee areas. With a recent tweaks we have close to 13 holes now with a short and a long tee off. A big jump from our 2 holes. Again this is only a draft and nothing is permanent to start with so we can adjust holes as needed.

We still need sponsorship were getting close to our goal of $30,000. We have raised close to $10,000 so far. That will fund baskets, all the concrete, depictive teesigns, teepads, benches, trash cans, ace posts, bulletin kiosk, equipment and any type of course directional signs etc.. Call me at 262-388-2999 if you know of any business or if yourself would like to sponsor the course. Parks Department at the city hall in West Bend has brochures available for sponsorship information also.

As soon as the we install the initial 9 baskets we will be starting a Wednesday Night Leagues. Sign-in 5:30pm-6pm Divisions: Depending upon the turn out. Pro, Advanced, Amateur, Recreational, Juniors 13 & under divisions we will offer. Need 4 people to have a division

We are in the process of raising funds for the Riverside Park course in the city of West Bend. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to create a professional course with all the amenities. Each 18 holes will have a depictive teesign, an ace signing pole, a concrete teepad, permanent benches and trash cans. The course will also have a bulletin kiosk with map, and sponsorship list and a practice basket. There will be brush clearing and maintaining cut fairways as needed.

I have brochures about sponsorship/donating for the course. I can mail you out some copies if you know of interested parties. Beside personal sponsors; companies can also sponsor and advertise on the teesigns.

As soon as the snow is completely gone and the ground is solid we will begin the installation process with the first 9 holes to possible 18 holes depending upon funding. With temp teesigns, temp gravel/board tee areas. For about 6 to 12 months we will play the course and tweak as needed before installing permanent teesigns, teepads, benches etc. Make sure we have a good flow and safety.

I have been volunteering my time in meetings all last week with the city and our Kiwanis club's which consist of the Sunrise Rotary, Early Risers, Noon Rotary Kiwanis clubs. We presented the sport in all aspects, the course layout and park location. We just got word yesterday that the Sunrise Rotary Kiwanis loved the idea and has donated $2000. Hoping to hear back from the others.

Josh Hamm and myself are putting this disc club together. There will be a $10 entry fee anualy. Were still in the works of fine tuneing things for this to happen and for it to be fair for all the members involved.
There are many good bennifets to haveing an orginized club for a course so we thought that with the new course there working on for river side park, it would be a good idea to show the city that there are many reasons to keep this a good thing for there park system and we as disc golfers will have a better voice as a positive group.
