About
Grace & Peace Community Ministries has many programs focused on serving the community. All programs and services are offered to those in the community without regard to their faith or willingness to participate in religious activities. While our faith in Jesus Christ is what drives us, we meet those we serve where they are.
Single Mothers Program:
Provide 8 week co-parenting courses pursuing spiritual, financial, professional, and physical help through connection with local agencies
Lead Richmond Family Fatherhood Initiative parenting classes for single moms
Lead 7 week trauma and emotional healing course with "Roots Matters"
Kid's Health and Education Programs
School supplies drive to ensure K-12 students have needed supplies to succeed in school
Partnership with CHAT (Church Hill Activities and Tutoring) to help students in school and beyond
Women's Entrepreneurship:
Weekly small group class focused on jewelry making, sewing, and entrepreneurial skills in order to equip women to both learn craft and business skills and knowledge
This group of women have created, Songbird Wearable Art, a business that sells jewelry and handbags
Living Essentials and Basic Needs:
During times of emergency, we step into the situation to help provide basic needs such as food, winter clothing, baby formula and diapers, and other necessities
Advocacy:
Assist those in the community with the development of self-advocacy skills so they are equipped to ensure access and participation to all eligible programs and resources
