April 21 with a 10:00am tee off and the weather is looking good for The Pines at St Charles Municipal Park. After last weekend there may be some wet spots - be prepared. Josh has a ton of CTP prizes, some fun side games and a great lunch planned of Koegels, Chips and Macaroni Salad. Plates and forks supplied, Bring your own beverages. The plan is for each player to compete for two rounds on the full layout BUT if you can only make one round, come anyhow and play either morning or afternoon. This should be a fun day with a fun group of players. If there are any questions send them this way prior to Friday...

Thursday Doubles will start on 4-26, tee off at 5:30 and Sunday Doubles will be starting on 4-29 with tee off at 12:00. This year is seeing a few changes. Each league will cost players $6.00 with $1.00 going into the course fund and full deep payouts for the $5.00 entry. BUT HERE'S THE GREAT DEAL AVAILABLE TO ANY AND ALL. BUY ONE OF THE OLD AIRPORT DGC BAG TAGS FOR $10.00 AND ELIMINATE THAT $1.00 WEEKLY COURSE FEE. YES, ALL YEAR LONG AND EITHER THURSDAY OR SUNDAY OR BOTH. What a way to save some cash and at the same time contribute to the fund for cement tee pads. AND JUST TO SWEETEN THE DEAL A LITTLE, EVERYONE BUYING A $10.00 TAG BY THE SECOND SUNDAY OF LEAGUES (May 6) WILL BE ENTERED INTO A CHANCE TO WIN A NICE (although used & not perfect) DISC GOLF PRACTICE BASKET.

The drawing will be done on Random.org with each player getting a number that represents their order of the tag purchase, NOT THE ACTUAL TAG NUMBER that you'll have on May 6 but the number that represents your place in the order of tags purchased Tags WILL BE AVAILABLE all year long but only those buying in by May 6 will be eligible to win the basket. Tag challenges at Old Airport and other course are encouraged. Some of the random doubles may include everyone playing to better your tag and although that creates a somewhat random situation of exchanging, we are thinking it may be a fun addition to normal random dubs.

To buy a tag you'll need to show up at any of the 1st four league times or contact John Forshee, Jason Mathe, Alex Wilk, Mike Ecker or Craig Prime. Huge thanks to Mike for the sweet handmade tags.

Right now we have 16 players committed and room for many more that signup and pay through the registration here on DG Scene or see me in person before Tuesday morning.

Sanford Lake Ace Race is August 19th! We need a minimum of 20 orders placed for this event to happen and regardless of people signed up, an order for 20 packages will be placed Monday, August 7. Deadline for Registration is Sunday night the 6th. After Sunday, the field size will be limited to 20 players so SIGN UP NOW to secure a spot. Lots of fun and for just $30 you get 2 discs, Shirt, Mini, Reusable scorecard, and a window decal. Overall retail on that package is $68. This years disc is a control point and shoot driver coming in ESP plastic!
These are extremely fun and is open to anyone who wants to play! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all that competed in the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships ! INSANE CONGRATULATIONS to the winners, runner up and all those that came close. The Insane crew has tossed a few discs with the Ferris State Players and it doesn't surprise us that coach Leonard Johnson brought the team to a top ten finish - great players - great effort from Ferris State !
