Found out there is going to be a doubles tournament in Valdosta on Feb 4th. There will be two rounds and bring your own partner. They will have two divisions Rec./Intermediate and Advanced/Open. Entry fee is $30.00 and you get get to choose two discs out of the following ( Star Wraith, Star Mako, Champion Glow Archon, and a Champion Glow Aviar.) Registration will be between 8:00-9:30, the players meeting will be at 10:00. Thye second round will start 1 hour after the last card is turned in from the first round. All prizes will be determined on participation, but there should be prizes for 1st-3rd in each division. There will aslo be prizes for CTP. Any questions you can contact Jonathan at 229-506-0466.

I plan on being at Chehaw for a course clean up on Friday Feb. 10th. The course is a mess and need some help cleaning up the tee areas. I would like to get it all straightened up before the tag tourney. Remember guys this is our home course so lets keep it nice looking. Also when we are out playing make sure you pick up all your trash, Ive seen trash around the course and it doesn't look good at all. Keep throwing and hope to see some of you there.

We are still on track to hold our 1st club tourney Jan. 14th at 1130. The bag tags may or may not be in before our tourney, but we will track and keep our round scores and award tags as you finish. We will play one round and everyone will play each other heads up. We need a strong showing from everyone in the club if we want 2012 to be a good year for the SGDGA. Thank you to everyone so far for your support. If this date changes I will let everyone know. The park will be clearing out some trees in January and some of those trees are on the course. Hopefully this will not hinder our club tourney on the 14th.

I need help Sunday the 19th to clear out the lane on basket 12 for the second pin placement. I will be out playing a round at 1:30. So after that I will start cleaning out the limbs and debris. Club members should try and make it out to help. It shouldn't take long. Remember this work on keeping our home course nice. Any one that can make it let me know. Thanks.

Went and played what I could see. The course is in terrible shape. Vegetation is grown up and impossible to find your disc if you get off the narrow fairways. I was hoping for better. I couldn't find my way around the course either, it was actually set up pretty good and oner basket had a killer hyzer shot around a building and over water. If the course was mowed it would be really fun to play. Can't wait to get back and play Chehaw Tuesday.
