I am proud to announce we, the Black Rock Disc Golf Club, will once again be setting up our disc golf course at Burning Man! This shall be the Club's 10th anniversary: our first course was built in 2010 and since then has grown to include a modest mushroom forest to accompany our baskets. Please check our Facebook group to follow along.
We shall be located prominently at 2:00 & F this year, with the "clubhouse" area and hole 1 near 2:15. We plan for a 9-hole course but may have an extra basket or two added if available.
We have events scheduled throughout the week - see
https://playaevents.burningman.org/playa_event/search/2022/?q=disc+golf - and the course is open for 24-hour play beginning Sunday August 28th at 6am (ignore what the schedule says about those times). We have lights on all the baskets, teepads, and obstacles, plus LEDs to attach to discs for night play. While we have a box of loaner discs available for use, you are welcome to bring your own; though tournament play will be restricted to using our provided loaners. Bag tags may also be available depending on when you stop by for a round.
Veterans and new players are all welcome - bring your friends and help us introduce new players to this wonderful game we all enjoy playing! Whether or not you can make it out to the Playa and join us, please spread the word so the community at large knows we are there!
