About this tournament

Hello and thank you for being a part of our Third Annual No More Monkey Business! This will serve as your player meeting. There is no check in. Report directly to your starting hole by 9:50. New to events? You’ll hear the entire course screaming “Two Minutes” at 9:58. You should scream it too. Once two minutes is called, stop putting/throwing. At 10am sharp you’ll hear “Tee Off” This is the start of the event.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for making this event possible. Without them, our courses wouldn’t exist. We take incredible pride in our courses. We hope you do as well. If you bring it in, take it back out. Use the trash cans. If there’s no can, wait until the next can. Our volunteers work very hard to make our courses look pristine. Please do you part and show them you appreciate it.

Smoking is allowed but we ask that you don’t smoke near your card. Some of our players have allergies and it puts them in an awkward spot to ask you to step away. Please be cool and don’t smoke around your card mates.

Please, do not smoke near our canopies. Plastic absorbs smells, so does the canopy.

Don’t rush to get to your next course. We give 1.5 hours between rounds. That’s plenty of time to eat and arrive.

Thank you to The Hamilton Disc Golf Union for working with us to bring you our best No More Monkey Business yet! This is an am only event built to celebrate you, our amateur players.

Thank you Danny for painting ob at Dillon. Without Danny's help, part of the event wouldn't be possible. My teammate and friend, youre very much appreciated!

Everyone will play Dillon first, Hazel Second. After your round EVERYONE has to check their score on the digital app and confirm it. We will be using digital score cards only for this event to minimize contact. You can have a paper card for a backup by asking the TD.

Dillon course guide

Monkey Business is built to be a challenge for our MA1, FA1, MA2 and MA40 divisions. For these divsions, Dillon will feature championship greens on the back 9 with rope bunker ob. This is going to test your accuracy and separate the field.

Ma1, Ma2, Ma40 and Fa1 will play Odds short evens long at both courses. The remaining divisions will play short pads at both courses with an alternate pad on hole 6 at Hazel Landing.

Dillon course guide.

Bunker OB IS DIFFERENT FROM TYPICAL OB.

With bunker ob you still play where your disc lands in the painted areas. You take a penalty stroke for landing in the bunkers.

Only ma1, fa1, ma2, ma40 play bunker OB. For the rest of the divisions, ignore painted OB.

All water and beyond is OB. All walking paths and beyond are OB. These are played as regular OB.

Hole 1,2 - pond and path and beyond are ob

Hole 3,4 creek and beyond ob

Hole 5 yards are ob. Do NOT enter yards to retrieve discs. This is trespassing and will result in being disqualified on the spot.

Hole 6 pond ob

Hole 8 no mando enforced. Be careful though please. 7s fairway crosses a tight path to the right. Walking path and beyond ob

Hole 9 pond and walking path and beyond ob

Hole 10 parking lot and walking path and beyond ob

Hole 11 creek and beyond ob

Hole 12- 14 path and beyond, creek and beyond

Hole 15-19 path and beyond ob

Hazel course guide.

The river and beyond is ob.

All divisions are playing to yellow baskets. Skip 13. Play 15.5. 12 to 14, 14 to 15, 15 to 15.5.

15.5 IS an odd hole.

You can find start time and starting hole for round 2 at the following link:

https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/46328

You will need to log in once it’s populated. It takes me about 20 minutes to organize cards after the last card is in. 30 if you ask what time round 2 starts. Please check the site.

The river is OB at all times.

We will be playing 19 holes at Hazel. The 19th hole is impossible to miss. It’s clearly marked by the parking lot and will have clear signs.

Scoring

We will be using the PDGA digital score card for this event to eliminate touching as much as possible.

We will have water at Tourney central. Wash your hands before open the coolers. There is no water on the course. Plan ahead and bring water. We will have water at tourney central and hole 1 the entire round.

Before you enter the canopy it’s MANDATORY that you wash your hands. We have a hand washing station, please use it before handing discs.

Your shirt (If you registered before midnight Monday) will be waiting at Hazel for you before round 2.

If you registered monday or before you get to play for an additional ace pot on hole 5! It was my first ace at hazel and left me loving this course. You must be wearing your shirt for it to count. :-)

If you registered after Monday, you’ll get an email for shipping instructions. It’ll be mid week before we process those as we have to wait on more blanks.

Lastly, I heard something amazing from one of my favorite TDs in the world. I never get it exact, but I’m close.

This event is about fun, and competition. You’re going to have good shots and bad shots. If you have a good shot come tell me about it. I love hearing your disc golf stories. It makes my day.

If you have a bad shot, be cool. Your card all came to have a good day. Freaking out makes that tough. Be cool and lets have a fun event.

IF you have any questions, feel free to text me at 317-413-8613

Thanks,
