About this tournament
Join us for a weekend of Disc Golf in beautiful Encampment/Riverside Wyoming.
Update. We will playing our Sunday round around the school in encampment and not at the Baggot Rocks location. Hope to try to have it there again in the future.
The Battle for Baggot Rocks Disc golf tournament near Encampment Wy. 1 round c tier. 18 holes on a temporary course. $10 bare bones tournament with lots of CTP opportunities for Amateur players. Professional players will not have CTP prizes but will have 100% payout. Some tee pads will be rough, and course will be a moderate hike. Meet at 930 at Grandview Park in Encampment where we will caravan/carpool out. (Last year you could get very close in a car, 200 yards from start, which was great, we will have to see how the road is later in the year.
Scoring will be on PDGA live scoring and event information will be emailed by June 30. (Email TD if you have questions)
Junior divisions can play full course or shortened course.
Tentative schedule for the weekend
- Friday august 19. 5- 530 check in Doubles at Grandview Park in Encampment
$10 a person, 100%payout
- Saturday September 2nd. The 2nd annual Discer's Landing Disc Golf Tournament. 2 round C-tier in Encampment and Riverside. Check in 900-940. 940 players meeting at the Grandview Park in Encampment. Start at 10. Lunch break between rounds. Second round tentative start time at 1pm. Awards, ring of fire, if no ace is hit Ace money Rolls over to Sunday event, and raffle to follow.
Saturday afternoon/evening we are working to hire a musician to go along with
some other disc golf shenanigans.
- Sunday august 21. 1 round C tier tournament on a temporary course at Baggot
Rocks. Meet at Grandview park in Encampment by 930. We will carpool/caravan
And start around 10. if no ace is hit Ace money Rolls over to Sunday event and we will have a throw after everyone is done.
Goals for event: Make the event as awesome as we can for all the participants. Grow disc golf in communities around WY. Highlight the unique courses around the state. We are working to get more sponsors for the event. We are purchasing $100 worth of gift cards to local businesses to give away during the event. Juniors and female will receive full players pack and prizes for divisions.
