About this tournament
1 round of play
MVP Circuit Challenge is back for the Pocono Area, returning to Yetter Park.
Whether you are new to disc golf, an avid gyronaut who needs the newest molds and plastic by MVP, or a competitor out to prove you can beat anyone with any manufacturer's plastic, this event is for you. This is to be a fun, casual event that you can play with friends and fellow disc golfers. With that being said, we can certainly allow card requests (during registration or day of).
The layout will be all short baskets (TBD in the coming weeks). One round using the three discs provided and a second optional round to follow using the three discs plus any prize discs and watermelon discs bought (subject to change depending on interest).
We will have prizes and CTPs throughout both rounds! Divisions are similar to how monthlies are run at Skywood and Yetter (Pro, Amateur, Rec, and Ladies).
The discs in this year’s Player’s Pack discs are as follows:
• Streamline Fission Trace, 11/5/-1/2. Brought back out of the limited release vault is the fission trace. This is available in light weights for the circuit event and is a straight-to-stable distance driver.
• MVP Particle Glow Proton Uplink, 5/5/-3/0.5. MVP is releasing another mold in the new particle glow proton plastic. The uplink is a great hyzer flip or turnover mid-range for advanced players and a great straight shot disc for newer players. This is a useful disc for all levels of players. (glitter/metal flake in plate that glows in the dark with UV light).
• MVP Electron Watt, 2/5/-0.5/0.5. Watt is loved by many gyronauts for its straight shots. Whether you're in the circle or on the tee, this neutral putt and approach disc will take the angle you give it.
(Estimated flight numbers provided by MVP)
MVP is releasing the Axiom Fireball in this year's proton watermelon plastic. The fireball is one of Axiom's most overstable discs 9/3.5/0/3.5. Watermelon discs have been highly sought-after items over the years. Pick one up when you register. We will also order some extra to be used as goodies or if anyone wants to buy one after thinking about it, while supplies last.
More information may be announced via the player's email or a quick player meeting in the morning. If there are any questions, we will do our best to answer or follow the link to learn about MVP Circuit events. https://mvpcircuitevents.com/
