Rec Divisions (Male and Female) and juniors divisions will only have a trophy for winners payout. Rec Divisions in this tournament is intended solely for newer players who want to play in their first tournament. You will not get cool points for winning the Rec Divisions if you have played in more than two PDGA Tournaments. If you have never played in a Sanctioned tournament, this is the division that would be best for most wanting to "get their feet wet!"
A division must have 4 players. If a Division has less than 4 players then those players will be combined with the next closest division of competition.((if there were not 4 players in the MPM division, then the 3 MPM players would be combined and compete with the MPO.)for example only)
Player's Pack for all ams is the following:
1. A DyeMax disc (3 molds to choose from) with your choice of 5 designs.
2. A hotstamped Disc with only the Tournament Logo, our primary sponsors, and our club logo
3. Dynamic Discs Dri-fit shirt with tournament artwork on the full back.
4. Creative Flyer Studios metal bag pin with the Tournament Logo in three colors
5. Our players pack includes your meal Saturday that will be served on site by the Hillcrest Country Club.
6. Register by 12/31/2016 and get entered into a raffle for free. Raffle prize grows in value as the number of registered players rises.
7. Includes access to the mini-competition at the bar on Saturday night.
8. Course handbook with all rules of boundaries, maps, sponsors info, Vernon information for businesses, and more!
9. As we continue to grow our number of sponsors, we will be adding more cash to the Pro/Open Payout Purse and adding more items to the Player's Pack!
This is Vernon's first PDGA Tournament that takes place on the Beautiful grounds of the Hillcrest Country Club's ball golf course. Tons of elevation changes, small ponds, manicured grounds, trimmed & mature trees, and much more make one picturesque hole after another on this championship level course designed for all players. 3 different layouts have been designed to take advantage of all the possibilities that are here. We bought 27 Brand new Dynamic Disc Recruit baskets to use that are winnable! THIS IS NO JOKE!!!... If you opt yes and pay the $5 fee for the ace pot, you are eligible for the cash ace pot for your pool(or portion if more than one) and you win the basket that you aced on, IF YOU ACE! So come win a basket! Delivery of Basket won is at the end of the tournament at awards ceremony. Only one winner per hole. Limited to one basket per player.
Lunch provided on location Saturday in between rounds by the Hillcrest Country Club. Meal price is included in registration fees if registered before February 1, 2017
Discounts on Hotels. Any one who stays in a hotel/motel in vernon is automatically entered into a drawing for a prize value of $139.99.Raffle for any player who proves they stayed in any Vernon hotel with a paid receipt(if only one person does, they win!) Use "Winters Last Blast" at any Vernon hotel/motel when reserving your room for a discounted rate.
Rocking A RV Park is a tournament sponsor offering discounts for disc golfers. You must make a reservation with them before February 10, 2017 to receive these discounts. Just tell them you are a disc golfer! They have multiple Camping/RV/Tent/Cabin Rentals available next to the tournament with new indoor shower facilities, pool, firepits, grills, and more for cheap! $11.00 per tent w/ discount(includes use of facilities) $25.00 for r/v-camper with w/ discount. 940-552-2821 for questions or reservations. A mini competition at Ray's Fish and Wings Sports Bar Saturday night for adults is going to be insane. We have Dynamic Discs Mini Recruit Baskets that will be set up for an indoor mini challenge (have you played the game "paper toss" on your phone? If so, then imagine playing with a mini! Imagine old Christmas trees(not real) and high powered fans creating a truly unique challenge. Ray's is having minis stamped with their logo that will be available for patrons and participants. The chicken wings and catfish are amazingly awesome. All you can eat catfish every Friday Night @ Ray's Fish and Wings Sports Bar & Restaurant.
For a family environment Saturday night the City of Vernon Parks Department is sponsoring a glow round at our 9 hole course called Roy Orbison on Saturday night. The Vernon Parks Dept does an amazing job at keeping our course looking awesome. 4400 Sand Rd. Vernon, TX is the course address.
DISConnect will be on site set up as a retailer featuring Innova, Legacy, Prodigy, and more. The Hillcrest Country Club Pro Shop which is a Dynamic Discs Buy Back Program Retail Store will be open featuring the Trilogy Brands. You will be able to spend your Tournament Am Payout at either store! Question: What happens when you don't find anything that you want or need at either of the two stores? Or just want to save your Tournament earnings and put it towards something bigger? Answer: if that happens I will issue you a Dynamic Discs Gift Card for the balance that will be usable at any Dynamic Discs brick and mortar store locations or online at the Dynamic Discs online store!

6 Basket pyramid challenge from 150 feet. Different prize available for each basket. If you make a throw and it lands in a basket, then you win the prize associated with the basket. A Basket is one of the prizes! (All proceeds will benefit the Boys And Girl's Club of Vernon New summer disc golf program.)
WE ARE Trying to get the country club to approve a flex start BYOP doubles tourney and course preview on the friday before, Feb. 24.Details to There would be a $5max all day course fee for course play/preview(only because i'm forcing the country club to close and not allow golfers on if agreed). By having no golfers around,you will be able to rent golf carts!!! Only if you want. Not sure on the details but soon to come
The Vernon Disc Golf Club has a goal to donate some baskets and plastics to our local boys and girls club to start a summer activity like the EDGE program. A portion of any profits made(if we don't loose our butts trying to rock our first tourney!)will go to making that happen, hopefully for this coming 2017 summer. Tax deductible donations can be made directly for that cause only by adding a note to the memo line of the check. A Donation letter will be issued for these donations that show the legal tax deductible amount and other required info per IRS requirements.

Refund policy
Vernon Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. One of the items we are including is a custom personalized disc that have each players name and PDGA number on it in the am players pack. If the merchandise has been made and you inform the td you have to cancel, we will mail you the players pack and refund the qualifying balance per 2017 PDGA guidelines.
