About this tournament
1 round of play
Get ready for a pawsome day on the course! ????
This year’s Wilson’s Big Bark Open will be played in honor of Holly Wood’s favorite canine, Rosco D DiscDog! Rosco was more than just a four-legged friend, he was a loyal sidekick, a course mascot, and a true disc-chasing legend. In his memory, every dollar raised from this event will be donated to support animals in need. So come out, throw some discs, and help us celebrate Rosco’s legacy while making a difference!
This tournament is also held every year in memory of my father-in-law, Jim Wilson, who passed away in 2021. Jim was a devoted German Shepherd owner, sharing his life with three of them. After his passing, we were unable to keep all three long-term alongside the dogs we already owned. During that difficult time, Fenton Adopt-A-Pet stepped in to help us through the process of re-homing one of them. This event is our way of giving back — a fundraiser to support their incredible work.
From their website:
“Adopt-A-Pet is committed to helping people and animals in need. We hold ourselves to a high standard — one that looks out for the physical and mental well-being of our animals. Our mission is to place unwanted, adoptable animals into appropriate, loving homes while reducing the number of animals euthanized in overcrowded shelters. We offer programs to help achieve this goal. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested, and microchipped prior to adoption. All potential adopters are screened to ensure the best possible match.”
Event Details:
Optional 50/50 CTP: $3 cash entry. Half goes to the winner, and the other half is donated to the charity.
Optional Ace Pool: $2 entry. If no aces are hit, the full amount is donated.
**Entry Fees: $30 from each team’s entry fee will be donated directly to Fenton Adopt-A-Pet. An additional $10 per team will go toward cash payouts for each division.
Division Guidelines:
For all amateur divisions, teams must register in the division that corresponds to the highest-rated player on the team. PDGA membership is not required. However, teams with non-PDGA members will be reviewed to ensure they are registered in the appropriate division (approval is not required to register but may be applied afterward).
Format:
1 Round of 18 Holes. Original Layout. Concrete Tee Pads
