10th Annual - Whale Rock Wine Down
The Whale Rock Wine Down is our annual fun spirited celebration of the course’s introduction in 2014. This premier tournament is held to appreciate the beautiful disc golf community on the Central Coast and beyond. You have made this course thrive for 10 AMAZING years. It's time crown the Kings and Queens of Whale Rock DGC for another year! You are all the heart and soul of this place- we thank you!
Info:
One round of 21 Holes, non-sanctioned, singles, safari layout with multiple divisions to fit all types of disc golfers. (Three par 4's this year) Followed by complimentary lunch + mini Wine/Beer Fest, tastings from Castoro Cellars + local breweries and beer sponsorship from Ancient Owl Beer Garden & Bottle Shoppe.
Prizes/trophy for 1-3 in all divisions. Cash payouts added for MPO/FPO. Two CTP's and raffle after the awards ceremony. We will have an alternative safari style tournament course layout to keep things interesting and challenging, this layout will be set up the week before the event to play and practice. Free play at WRDGC for all registered players, August 10th-17th.

-REC (Recreational. Casual/Fun/Recreational Men+Women Division)
-Open (Top Competitive Division)
-Advanced Am (Competitive Division)
-Amateur 40+
-Amateur 60+
-FPO (Top Competitive Women's Division)
-FA1 Advanced Women (Competitive Women's Division)
-FA2 Intermediate (Newer to the sport but still want to play in a women's div.)
-Amateur 50+ Women
-Lunch + Tasting (for non-players who want to enjoy Lunch + Wine/Beer tastings)
We need 6 participants per division to be viable. Otherwise, you will be placed in the next closest division. Choose whichever you are comfortable with!

Players Meeting - 8:20 am
Round Begins Shotgun Style - 8:30am
Playoffs (as needed) - 11:45-12:20 pm
Lunch, Wine/Beer Tasting - 12:30 pm - 2 pm
Awards Ceremony + Raffle - 1:00 pm - 2 pm
Prizes:
-MPO/FPO $200, $140, $100 cash payout for 1st-3rd place
-Trophies and prizes for 1st-3rd in all other divisions
-Raffle for all, tickets included at check-in. (Extra raffle tickets available for purchase, bring cash. We will raffle off the cash at the end)
This non-PDGA sanctioned event gives you a chance to get out with your fellow disc golfers and toss a stress free round or compete at the highest level. Either way we want you to enjoy what you love most about the sport and have a Dam Fine Time.
