About this tournament

This is a two-round, bring-your-own-partner doubles event with trophies and
a catered lunch. Format is modified best shot.

DIVISIONS
There will be six ratings-based divisions. Teams should pick or be placed into a division based on the combined PDGA rating of both members of the team.

RA1 [team rating 1940+]
RA2 [team rating <1940]
RA3 [team rating <1870]
RA4 [team rating <1800]
RA5 [team rating <1700]
RA6 [team rating <1600]

Players who do not have a PDGA rating can estimate their approximate rating based on their average round score at Westy Acres using this table:

-5 on Blue layout: 1010 rating
Par on Blue layout: 960 rating
-5 on White layout: 935 rating
Par on White layout: 900 rating
-5 on Red layout: 850 rating
Par on Red layout: 820 rating
+5 on Red layout: 770 rating

LAYOUTS
RA1, RA2 - Tournament 18 Hole Blue
RA3, RA4, RA5 - Tournament 18 Hole White
RA6 - Tournament 18 Hole Red

Note that individual players in RA4 and RA5 who are rated 800 or lower (roughly par on reds) can play from Red tees.

FORMAT
The format for this doubles tournament is modified best shot doubles. A team cannot use the same player's tee shot on three consecutive holes. If a player's tee shot has been used on two consecutive holes, the other player's tee shot must be used on the following hole. If a team uses the same player's tee shot on a third consecutive hole, it is considered a misplay, resulting in a two-stroke penalty.

PRIZES
There will be trophies for first place in every division. First place winners in
all divisions also get $25 in Westy Bucks. 2nd place winners in RA3, RA4, RA5 and RA6 also get $15 each in Westy Bucks. Westy Bucks can be spent on used discs or Westy merch at this event.

CHECKIN
Please go directly to the stage and check-in when you arrive on site.

SCORING
Scoring will be done on UDisc. It is recommended that players have at least the free version of UDisc installed on their device.

LUNCH
Lunch will be after the first round is completed. A catered lunch is included in your registration fee. Water and snacks will be available on the course.
The second round will start after lunch at approximately 2 PM.

ACE POT
If the ace pot is not hit during regular play, a throw-off will take place after the 2nd round. Each ace hit during the throw-off will be worth $50 until the ace pot is exhausted.

Refund policy

Friends of Westy Acres is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. This is not a PDGA sanctioned event, but for all refunds we follow the PDGA Policy in 1.03 of the Competition Manual (https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/103). A fee of $10 may be applied to all refund requests.

Summary:
100% refund if withdrawn at least 30 days before the event (by Thursday, September 11, 2025).
50% refund if withdrawn at least 15 days prior (by Friday, September 26, 2025).
25% refund if withdrawn before 48 hours prior (Thursday, October 9, 2025).
No refunds for withdrawals within 48 hours of the event start.
Exception: A full refund will be given if a player's spot is filled from the waitlist.
Refunds will not be issued after registration closes.

Two ways to withdraw: There is a "Cancel / Request Refund" link in your email confirmation from DiscGolfScene.com. You can also click the "Registered Players" link in the event, where you will find an "Edit" and "Withdraw" button.
