About this tournament
1 round of play
You’re invited! Join us on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 9 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. for a women’s disc golf tournament at Hammonds Plains Disc Golf Club in Halifax - Nova Scotia Parbeque (if you don’t understand the pun yet, don’t worry you will!).
If this is your first time hearing about disc golf, it’s like ball golf but you are throwing discs. Check out this page from the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) for a great intro: https://www.pdga.com/introduction
This tournament is for both new players and veterans to the course. In fact, the event is being hosted as part of a Global Women’s Event with over 150 tournaments and 3,000 players worldwide.
The tournament is open to any female-identifying player. There are 23 divisions, but don’t let that overwhelm you! Here’s what divisions we recommend registering in:
FJ12 - 12 years of age or younger
FJ18 - 18 years of age of younger
FA1- advanced
FA2 - intermediate
FA3 - recreational
FA40+ - adult 40 years of age or wiser
If you have questions about these or any other divisions, please let us know.
FJ12 will only play one round starting at 1pm.
*Please note that players under the age of 15 require someone over the age of 18 to attend with them - you can follow along with the group or play yourself! Even if you are in separate divisions, you can play in the same group.
Player fees are $30 (Adults) or $20 (Juniors) and includes two discs - a putter (for short throws and throws into the basket) and a midrange (for longer throws).
All players and divisions will play from the RED tee layout. A course map, rules, and additional information will be provided via email before the tournament begins.
Registration will close on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11:59pm.
