*Please note this event is trophy ONLY for all divisions. In addition to the Virtual Player Packs provided by the WGE sponsors, we will also provide sweet local player packs on the island for ALL players and lunch will be provided! Add in the fun on a beautiful course and you're getting more than your money's worth.
Starting Thursday, April 5th and running through Thursday, May 10th there will be a ladies league held at Camp Canaan on the tournament layout beginning at 5:30 pm. This is an exciting opportunity because the Canaan Disc Golf course is typically only open on the weekends. Huge thanks to the staff and owners at Camp Canaan for making this possible!
The PDGA non-member fee has been waived by the PDGA for this event. Thanks, PDGA!
*This year, Juniors 12 and under will only be required to play one round to be included in the overall Women’s Global Event.
The Women's Global Event (WGE) is a biennial event started in 2012 to expose more women and girls to the competitive side of disc golf. In 2016 we added a charity component and raised over $5,000 for Right To Play. For this year's event, the charity will be the Disc Golf Foundation who will be earmarking the money for women's disc golf including Throw Pink's Girl Scout initiative.
In 2016 there were 61 registered tournaments, spanning 28 states and six countries resulting in 1,060 women competing in the same event on the same day. Before 2018, there has not been an event in South Carolina. Join us for the Palmetto State's first WGE!
The event will take place on Fewell Island at the beautiful Camp Canaan. With gorgeous views of the Catawba River, you'll always have something sweet to look at, even if it's not your shot.
To maintain the beauty of the island, the owners have a few rules: Dogs, alcohol, and tobacco products are not permitted anywhere on the Island. Please pack out all trash when leaving.
