Hello 4WxW Players (& Parents),

We want to thank each of you for signing up and celebrating women’s disc golf with us! We are very excited to see your smiling faces on Saturday. This email is going to cover everything you need to know and some tips if this is your first tournament. The attachment is a printable version of this email, if that’s your style. You will also find the Streetery menu attached.

LOCATION CHANGE: Please note that due to circumstances at VA Barrie, the event is now being held at Waterworks Park on 2 South Edgeware Road, St Thomas ON.

As you come down the hill at Waterworks, please note Waterworks Variety on the left hand side. They will be merching out all of our Ams and Juniors. Please show your support!

Please turn right at the bottom of the hill and find parking there


Schedule:

8:30-9:00 AM -- Registration for all divisions, EXCEPT JUNIORS

9:00-9:15 AM -- Players Meeting

9:30 AM -- Round 1 Tee Off

10:30 AM – 11:00 AM -- JUNIOR REGISTRATION

11:15-1:00PM -- Lunch

12:15 PM -- JUNIOR TEE OFF

1:15PM (approximate) -- Round 2 Tee Off

4:00 PM -- Awards and Prizes

Juniors play 1 round only. ALL other divisions play 2 rounds

Lunch:

The community showed up to support you, ladies. Lunch is on us! We ask that you please look at the menu attached to the email and let us know at registration what you would like for lunch. Pre-ordering (Streetery only) should allow for plenty of time for socializing and digesting 

Clinic:

We have local professional disc golfers available on Friday night for an optional, free disc golf clinic. It will be held in the field at Locke’s Public School at 6:30 PM. Address is 20 South Edgeware Rd, St Thomas ON. Parking recommended on Woodworth Cr or Dalewood Parking lot. We will have extra discs for you.



Friendly Tips for Tournament Day:

- Bring lots of water and snacks!

- Wear comfortable shoes

- There are washrooms on site, but they are located only on one side of the park. If you really gotta go, bring some extra toilet paper for a woodsy adventure

- There are lots of beautiful spots to enjoy your lunch, but you may want to bring a lawn chair or blanket for a picnic in the park

- NO LITTERING!

- Bring a phone if you have one (for scorekeeping)

- Wear sunscreen, even if it’s not sunny

- Watch where your disc flies AND watch where your cardmates’ disc fly… good karma is a real thing on the disc golf course and we don’t want anyone to lose a disc

- Good karma comes to those who have fun!
