10/30 Update - We have opened up a registration option to to allow people to purchase more discs, we still have a lot of inventory left of the special Innova champion glow discs. Remember - we are donating a portion of the disc sales (once we hit a certain minimum number sold) to help a disc golfer's family in need. The $10 fee is to help cover shipping, we will ship out the discs to non-local players. Thanks!!

Well, we had to cancel the Tecumseh Corn Fest Open this year due to you know what. Since disc golf events are being PDGA sanctioned in Ontario again, we wanted to sneak in a sanctioned event this year. The Town of Tecumseh has been welcoming of this tournament and we thank them for their support!
WEDG Open - the first of its name. This event is all about celebrating the grown of the disc golf scene here in Windsor-Essex, and it's all goin down at Lakewood Park in Tecumseh. Thanks to the help of Bob Wilson and Sam Spiering, the local league scene is really boomin! Each week, the disc golf medicine is administered capably by the WEDG leagues on Tuesday 6pm and Sunday 10am.
(TD speaking here).. This is my annual effort to contribute to the mission of WEDG in the form of a sanctioned tournament. My other primary effort is in helping to get more courses in the ground here in Essex County. Please always let me know if you have any questions on installing a permanent course. (back to the generic tournament-speak)
Tournament Details:
-WEDG Open is FULL! Thank you!!
-Amateur divisions: $20 entry fee. (Trohy-only payout) Custom stamped event discs available as optional purchase. Player net entry fee is $0 after deducting event costs.(1)
-Planning on the typical trove of give-aways, mostly as CTPs, and trophies!
-Pro divisions: $40 entry fee, with $20 going to cash payouts.
-Optional WEDG Open custom Innova champion glow discs. Limited quantities, the registration process will show the different options for discs that can be purchased for all divisions.
-Proceeds from the disc sales will go to help a local disc golfer through a challenging time.
-Any remaining discs will be available to purchase onsite.
Primary COVID measures are:
All digital scoring
Masks necessary within 50 ft. of tournament central tent.
No players meeting or award ceremony
No food available onsite, please pack a lunch!
