Following in the footsteps of the Trilogy Challenge, Veterans for Vets is a new event designed to meet three goals. First, it gives disc golfers a chance to play in an organized event during the winter months. Second, it provides an awesome environment for a disc golfer without any tournament experience to play in an organized event. Finally, it provides an opportunity for a local disc golf community to raise money that gets returned to that same community to organizations tasked with serving veterans!

Welcome back for another Fun tournament & fundraiser hosted by Pecan City Disc Golf Shop! This is a 1 round 1 day tournament at Starcke Park on Saturday, February 5th, 2022. Entree fee is $25 for all divisions and each player will receive 2 discs in their player’s pack. 1 baseline putter and 1 premium midrange/driver. We will have trophy discs for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for all 6 divisions. In addition to the tournament, we will be raising funds for a local veteran organization here in Seguin by selling limited edition clear VIP Westside Discs Stags. If we get more than 50 signups we’ll also be selling raffle tickets for a Red, White and Blue Veteran Basket. (Retail $449)

As soon as everyone is finished with their round, we will all head over to where our shop is located at The Backyard to give out awards and pick winners for our raffle. It is located on 225 N Saunders st, about 1.5 miles away from Starcke Park. The Backyard will also have their Market Days, so you can expect the sports bar to be open, delicious food from various food trucks and multiple businesses/vendors to shop around at.
