About this tournament
1 round of play
Veterans for Vets is a one round of 18 tournament where the proceeds go to a local veterans assistance program. The proceeds from this tournament will benefit The Vet Center of Lincoln.
The Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Centers) was established in 1979 under Public Law 96-22 to address the readjustment needs of Vietnam Veterans. Additional legislation extended program eligibility to Veterans, Service Members of any combat zone or area of hostility and their families, as well as to Veterans who experienced sexual trauma (MST) as a result of their military service. The Readjustment Counseling Service (RCS) grew steadily over the intervening decades to its current number of 300 Vet Centers in the CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa and Guam.
The Lincoln Vet Center opened in December 1981. Initially, it was located in downtown Lincoln. In the summer of 2008, the Vet Center relocated to its current site at 3119 O Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, 68510. Lincoln is located in Eastern Nebraska, approximately 45 minutes south of Omaha.
