About this tournament

This is a single round - unsanctioned tournament. TROPHY ONLY EVENT.

Shotgun Start. 22 Hole Layout.

Following in the footsteps of the Trilogy Challenge, Veterans for Vets is a new event designed to meet three goals.

First, it gives disc golfers a chance to play in an organized event during the winter months.

Second, it provides an awesome environment for a disc golfer without any tournament experience to play in an organized event.

Finally, it provides an opportunity for a local disc golf community to raise money that gets returned to that same community to organizations tasked with serving veterans!

Player Packs:
Players will receive two discs (from Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, and/or Westside Discs) with custom Veterans for Vets stamps. One baseline putter and one premium midrange/driver.

Players can use any PDGA approved discs. Not required to use discs from player pack.

If we get at least 50 players registered, we will be raffling off a Dynamic Disc Veteran Basket after the round. ($499.99 value). Tickets will be sold at event and must be present to win. We will also have other items in the raffle, so multiple chances to win something.

100% of net proceeds will be donated to the Barnegat American Legion - John Wesley Taylor Post 232.

Refund policy

Rocco Manochio is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.

A. Players MUST email or phone their withdrawals to the Tournament Director only at the contact information posted for the tournament. Discussions with persons other than the Tournament Director, including other tournament staff, shall not be considered official.

B. Players who have paid MORE than a nominal waitlist fee of $10 to be on an event’s waitlist who do not get into the event, or who officially request to withdraw from the waitlist prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended), will receive a 100% cash refund minus the $10 waitlist fee. Waitlist players who ONLY paid a nominal non-refundable waitlist fee of $10 will not receive a refund.

C. Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund (minus up to a $10 handling fee).

D. Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 20 to 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walk-up entry (if offered). If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has discretion on refunds.

E. No refunds within 20 days of the event, unless the players spot is filled. Player packs would have been ordered by now and cannot be returned.

F. Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to the published closure of registration and waitlist replacements and don’t play (aka a no-show), forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack. (This does NOT apply to a waitlist player; see 1.03.B above.)

G. If a TD vacates an offered division due to a lack of registered players for the division, any player for that division that does not wish to move to a different division that they are eligible for, will be provided a full refund.

H. If a division has low demand, to create more competition the TD has discretion to combine divisions. If this is done, before moving a player, the player will have the option to move or receive a 100% refund. (No deduction from refund).
