About this tournament
Uwharrie Charter Academy Disc Golf Club brings Birdie Derby to North Asheboro
THE EVENT
This is an unsanctioned disc golf tournament. Great for new players, casual players, or players looking to get involved in the tournament scene.
This will be a 1 round of 18 holes disc golf tournament.
Your entry fee includes a 3 disc player pack. You must only use these discs during your 18 hole round.
Prizes to the winners of each division as well as several CTP's.
ABOUT UCADGC
In the fall of 2024, I decided to bring my passion for disc golf to the students of Uwharrie Charter Academy where I also teach. WIth the help of Andrew Sperry, Oak Hollow Disc Golf, the PDGA and with the support of fellow teachers and our school leadership, we were able to create a club accessible to all students of UCA.
In our first year, we had many successes but we have a big, school-changing and community-changing goal for this coming year...WE WANT TO BUILD A 9-HOLE CAMPUS COURSE
This course would not only be accessible to all students who attend Uwharrie Charter Academy (High, Middle, Elementary) but we also hope to use this course to host friendly competitions between our other schools in Randolph County and open this course up to host community events as well, like Birdie Derby's, Ace Race's, etc.
Disc Golf is truly an incredible sport accessible to all who are interested. We ask for your help to not only help us grow the game of disc golf but also to help us make a positive impact on our school and our community that can and will be enjoyed by many.
