About this tournament

The University of Alabama Disc Golf Team is headed to Nationals! As the team gears up to bring another trophy back to Title Town, we need help from all of you to get there! As a club sport with no NCAA status, we get no financial help from the University for travel or lodging.

On April 23, we will be hosting a Doubles Flex Start tournament at Bowers Park. The format will be best shot doubles. We will have 3 levels of competition for teams, each with a payout for the winners. Payout will be 50% of tournament total. Early registration is preferred, but day of registration will be accepted (as long as spots are available).

Our Amateur 2 division is designed for teams with an average PDGA rating of 875 or less with no individuals over 900.
Our Amateur 1 division is designed for teams with an average PDGA rating of 935 or less with no individuals over 960.
Our Mixed division is designed for any mixed gender team with no ratings limits.
All other teams (higher than 935 average OR 1 player over 960) must register for the Pro division, and any team is able to play up a division.

Note that non-PDGA members do NOT count toward their team's average rating (determined solely by the rated players) and a team composed of two non-PDGA members is allowed to register for any division.

For the tournament layout, ALL DIVISIONS will play from Bowers concrete tees to the red Prodigy baskets. All positions are in "C" except for holes 1 and 2, which are in long. There will be one CTP hole for each division, which are as follows:
Mixed: Hole 4
AM2: Hole 11
AM1: Hole 17
Pro: Hole 13

Bryant Bags and DC Squared have both generously agreed to provide CTP prizes for all divisions. Additionally, a $5 raffle is available for a brand new Dynamic Discs Paratrooper bag!
