About this tournament

Welcome to the 2020 (rescheduled) Turtle Rock Pro/Am! We are so excited to host this special event at a truly wonderful course. First and foremost, this will be a Covid-safe event. Masks must be worn at all times when social distance cannot be maintained. This includes at all times when you are in the tournament central area. At no point may a group larger than 12 congregate, this includes at the awards ceremony, which will be done in a socially distanced fashion. Hand sanitizing stations will be provided every few holes. The players meeting will be in the form of a video, posted to the event facebook page and emailed to all participants. Check-in will be done virtually following the players meeting.

Now on to the fun stuff! This will be a 2 day, 3 round B-tier tournament. It will feature two rounds in a medium layout on Saturday and one round in a long layout on Sunday. Trophies will be provided to the top 3 in each division. Amateurs will be paid via scrip through OTB, and pros will be paid out via paypal! In an ideal world, we would use PDGA online scoring, but that is not feasible due to the lack of cell service at the park. As such, we will use a unique scoring system: every player will take score for their entire card. While this does mean more work for everyone, it means that scorecards don't have to be passed and everyone can help verify scores as the round goes along.

I know many of you have asked about camping, and I do not have an answer yet. I will be sure to provide updates about that as I know more. If camping does not work out, or if you are looking for a slightly warmer option for lodging, the Woodford's Inn is located about 5 minutes from the course! They are a perennial sponsor of the event and offer nice rooms at a great price. Give them a call at (530)-694-2111 to book a room!

Lastly, I am afraid that due to a 90 player cap and to prevent a lot of tiny divisions from forming, I cannot offer all preferred divisions. If you want to play in a division that is not offered and is fairly common, please feel free to sign up for a similar division on here and message me either here or on facebook which division you would prefer to play in. If there is enough interest, I would be happy to accommodate you. And as far as the divisions we do have, I am requiring a minimum of three participants in each division.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me here, on facebook, or by call/text (916)-533-3620 if you have any questions or concerns. I am so excited to be your TD this year, and am looking forward to putting on a fun event!

Divisional caps will be dropped on October 28th at 8 pm.
