About this tournament

The Tristate Club Team Championship is an invitational team disc golf event pitting local club teams (< 100K populations) from western New York, northwestern Pennsylvania, and northeastern Ohio against each other for pride, bragging rights, possession of the Championship Trophy for 1 year, and the right to host next year’s Tristate Championship. Each team will bring one item to raffle off following the event. Funds raised will go to the hosting club. Club teams will consist of one single player, three doubles pairs, and up to two substitutes from their club's geographic region. Club players will compete in 6 hole matches in a round robin style, playing against all other clubs. Substitutions can be made between rounds, but must be planned so as not to delay starting times. Winning a match (single or double) will earn your club 2 points. Match ties result in 1 point for each team. Female players will receive a tee advantage. After round robin rounds, total team points will be calculated. Standings ties are decided by the result of head to head points between the tied teams. Head to head ties will be broken by the result of the singles match, followed by the A dubs match and then B dubs match. The top 2 teams will play their final 6 holes, match play, winner takes all for 1st place. The 3rd and 4th ranked teams will play for 3rd, 5th and 6th ranked teams will play for 5th place, and the 7th and 8th ranked teams will play for 7th. Following these final 6 holes, a tie for first place will only be decided by team triples sudden death playoff, player choice, starting on Hole 1.
