Trilogy Challenge at El Dorado
Part of Trilogy Challenge 2020
About this tournament
IMPORTANT UPDATE - EVENT POSTPONED!!!
Hey everyone,
I wanted to start by saying thank you in advance for being patient and understanding with everything going on. Today I was going to send out another email outlining specific rules/guidelines to keep this event as safe as possible. I believe that disc golf is one of the best activities for social distancing and as long as everyone follows certain guidelines, events like the Trilogy Challenge are a great way to implement competition safely.
Because of recent events, however, I have made the decision to postpone the event. Keeping players safe and keeping the course intact are my top priorities. While this could be the safest, smoothest-run event ever, there will still be people uncomfortable with it and I don't want to put the course or the players at risk by going forward with it on Saturday. OG had their baskets removed this week and I would hate to see another course go through the same thing.
With that being said, I do not have a definite date for the reschedule. When there is a set date, I will contact players with tee times (that will be sorted out later). If you are registered and would like to play at the later date, I'll hold your players pack until then. If you would rather pick up your players pack now, then I'll allow you to do that and I'll take your name off of the registration list. If you are someone who was trying to sign up on the day-of, I'll have a separate check-in time for you. Please check the Facebook event page for all future updates on the reschedule. Here's the link:

When the TC does take place, we will still be enforcing all safety precautions. I'll be requiring masks at check in, social distancing, no gathering in the park or parking lots, no touching each other's discs, bringing your own Sharpie, paperless scoring on UDisc, tee times, etc. More info on that later.
If you have any questions, email is the best way to reach me. If you plan on waiting for the rescheduled date, there is no need to contact me. If you'd like to drop out and get your players pack, you'll need to let me know via email and I'll get you sorted out.
Lastly, I want to apologize to everyone who signed up for this event. I know that this is disappointing to hear and I just ask that you try to understand where I'm coming from. I think this is such an amazing event to grow the sport and I can't wait for the rescheduled event to take place.
Thank you so much,
Courtney Weekley

The Trilogy Challenge is a 1 round event where you compete exclusively using the 3 discs provided in the players pack. The 2020 Trilogy Challenge discs are the Latitude 64 SPZ3, the Dynamic Discs Bounty, and the Westside Discs Crown.
Instead of having 1 big raffle after the event (because the flex start makes it difficult), we will be having a CTP prize per card and then a smaller raffle afterwards. There will be 1 designated CTP hole where we will have 1 CTP winner per card and 1 overall winner for the day. Prizes can be picked up after the round (prizes still TBD!)
The cards will each have 3-4 people. If you have a group you want to play with, make sure you check in with them! If you want to be assigned to a card, just show up and I can put you with a group.
I will be ordering some extra players packs in case anyone wants to sign up on the day-of. These spots will be limited, so if you want a guaranteed spot, online registration is the way to go. Day-of sign-ups will be $40 per player and won't have guaranteed weights on the discs.
***If we get 100 people signed up, I will be raffling off a Dynamic Discs Marksman Basket! Let's try to hit 100!
Here's some more info on the new discs:
Latitude 64 Opto/Gold SPZ3
Speed: 9 Glide: 6 Turn: -1 Fade: 2
The SPZ3 is a fairway driver made for easy distance. The combination of good speed and glide gives you more control, as you can power down and safely land by the basket.
Dynamic Discs Lucid/Fuzion Bounty
Speed: 4 Glide: 5 Turn: -1.5 Fade: 0.5
The Bounty brings a different feel to the Dynamic Discs midrange lineup. With a shallow rim and bead, the Bounty is a slightly understable midrange that acts like a slower Maverick. At shorter distances and slower speeds, the Bounty will fly very straight with good glide and minimal fade. When thrown with more speed, the Bounty will slowly move to the right without burning into the ground. Use the Bounty to shape shots in the open or in the woods, and you’ll love the control you gain!
Westside Discs BT Hybrid Crown
Speed: 3 Glide: 4 Turn: 0 Fade: 1
The Crown is a putter for players that like a beaded rim putter, stable flight, and consistency. A stable flyer with a good glide makes it a great tool in every bag. Choose the Crown to make all your important putts.
