About this tournament

Like disc golf? Got that one friend who you play with all the time? Come test your skills at the Tree Tester Open. This tournament is set to raise money in remembrance of Clare Wertz, one of the men who brought the course to Hedges-Boyer park. Along with raising money for a good cause you have an opportunity to win some cold hard cash! Here's how. The day of the tournament, the number you chose as a team will be drawn randomly to compete with another team on the card for round on. As we conclude round 1, we will have time for lunch (45 minutes to an Hour). Then we will place a lead card together as well as the remaining teams to begin round Two (All 21 holes). Once round 2 concludes, we will take the top third of teams and play a final 9. We play a final 9 holes to decide the overall winners and the remaining top finishers. Payouts and winner are determined after 2 full rounds of 21 and 1 round of 9 (for those who qualify). The Top 3 teams will receive a prize and a cut of the prize money. If a tie is in the top 3 scores (cashing scores), we will have a sudden death play off(Play the beginning hole until a team loses to determine the placement). Entry fee will be $40 a team. Sign up on dgscene or day of tournament. $20 will go towards course installation fees that we are building in remembrance of Clare(treetester) Wertz. And $20 per team will go towards payouts. The date is set for June 23rd 2019(Sunday). Optional Ace fund payable day of tournament ($2 a person). If it is not hit we will throw off for the 1/2 amount. We will also be offering two optional $1 cash ctp 1 will be played per round. 50/50 will be available as well $1 a ticket, 6 tickets for $5 or an arms length for $10.
