About this tournament

Tournament

Hello and thank you for joining us for Tournament! I’d like to take a moment and thank our event sponsors. Baked, A Cookie Company has supported Chubb Disc Golf every step of the way, before Baked was even a cookie company Tim has always been a strong supporter of Chubb Disc Golf and quality disc golf in Indiana. Tim will have cookies at this event. They’re $2.00 and the best cookie you’ll eat! Tim takes cash or card, so stop by and see him and ask what’s in them. You’ll be pleased you did!

Our hole sponsors for this event are receiving a custom metal sign and our deepest gratitude. Thank you Mike Penix, Miki Davisson, Stephen Campbell, Danny Droeger, Matt Gingrich with Grateful Home Exteriors LLC and Tim Dines, Baked, A Cookie Company.

Thank you to Lisa Chubb, Sam Chubb and Zac Zac for helping run this event and make sure it’s smooth. Zac also was a major hand in designing the logo for this event.

River pool will tee off a 9:30am at Hazel. Lisa and Sam will be at Hazel from 8:15am til Tee off. Stop by and pick up your paper back up card. The River pool is MPO, MP40, Ma1, Ma40, Fa40, Ma3. You will play Hazel for round 1 and Dillon for Round 2. Round 2 tee time will be posted on the facebook HDGU page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/theHDGU It will start 1 hour and 15 minutes after the last card is completed. I do not know when that is until the last card is completed.

Lake pool will tee off at 10 am at Dillon. Chad will be at Dillon from 8:30 am until tee off You will pick up your event shirt at Dillon. Lake pool is MA50, MA60, MA2, Fa3, MA4. You will play Dillon for round 1 and hazel for round 2. Round 2 will start 1 hour and 15 minutes after the last card is completed.

Your card assignment can be found at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/48508 after 7pm Friday evening. If your hole assignment doesn’t show up, log out of the pdga website and back in. It should be to the left of our name. Your card is subject to change at the TD’s discretion. We can’t take requests, your card is your card. Please double check 15 minutes before tee off that your card hasn’t changed. It’s rare but happens.

When we play at Dillon there’s a very good chance we will have residents in the neighborhood following around different cards and watching us play. They LOVE having us there. Lets keep it that way. At all times, speak kindly with the community and show them what an amazing community we are. Don’t leave trash behind and lets make sure we present ourselves as ambassadors of this incredible sport.

If a disc ends up in someone’s yard DO NOT go after it. We will do our best to get it returned to you.

Your Tournament shirt will be at Dillon. Stop by before your round. Payouts are chaos, please do not wait until then.

We will not have water throughout the course. We will have it at Tournament central at both courses. Please be sure to grab some.

Our vend is still under construction. It’s functional and operating well. It’s just not as pretty as it’ll be in a week or two. Please excuse the construction mess. We can only have around 15 people at a time on the vend. For this reason we are starting payout as soon as divisions are complete. There’s a probability we will have River pool done before Park pool gets back. Even though you’ll have your payout completed, please stick around and cheer on other division winners. At, a safe social distance of course.
Bags are not allowed in our vend. You’ll notice security cameras at our setup. I don’t like having to run them. I’m sure you probably don’t like being on them. We have dealt with an extreme amount of theft and have to mitigate it. Please, don’t smoke in or near the vend either.

Scoring

We will be using PDGA Live scoring as our official scoring for this event. You can access this by visiting www.pdga.com/score the event password is Tournament

In the rare event your card mate doesn’t show up and you only have 2 players on your card, one player will join the card in front of you, one will join the card behind you. The weather is going to be amazing. I doubt this will be an issue but be prepared just in case.

BEFORE you leave the course, verify your score with your card mates and sign off on it in the app. Every player on the card needs to verify score and sign off. Failure to do so will result in rule 808 F being enforced.

We will be utilizing a backup scorecard of paper. One player from each card needs to keep a paper backup. The paper score card should not be turned in unless in the very unlikely event of the pdga app crashing. Otherwise use it to confirm scores. If there’s a discrepancy work it out with your card. If you can’t come to an agreement, bring it to me with your entire card.
