Throwing for a Cause is a PDGA-sanctioned charity disc golf tournament hosted by the Shelbyville Disc Golf Club (SDGC) on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
This event is dedicated to supporting Haven of Hope, a local organization that provides advocacy, emergency shelter, resources, and support services for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. Through community support and awareness, Haven of Hope works to provide safety, healing, and hope to those in need throughout our area.
Event Format
2-Round Tournament
Round 1: H.V. Griffin Disc Golf Course – Shelbyville, TN
Round 2: Shelbyville DGC Temporary Championship Course – Shelbyville, TN
PDGA-sanctioned competition
Trophies Only for AM divisions, Trophy and PayPal payout for PRO divisions.
Note; Must be at least three peoples in a division to have a trophy
Pools
The event will be divided into A Pool and B Pool to provide the best tournament experience possible. Pool assignments, tee times, and division placements will be announced prior to the event and posted on the event page.
Player Pack: shirt for first 70 Ams
Every registered player will receive:
Official Throwing for a Cause event performance T-shirt featuring the custom Haven of Hope tournament design
Important: we are ONLY ordering 70 shirts. So please get registered if you want one!To guarantee a player pack shirt, registration must be completed no later than August 21, 2026. Registrations received after August 21 are welcome, but shirts cannot be guaranteed.

Refund policy
Shelbyville Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds and cancellations. Any withdraws Prior to 08/21/2026 will receive a full Payout. Withdraws prior to 09/05/2026 will receive a partial refund. Any withdraws after midnight the day of the event will not receive a refund.
